La Liga returns from the international break with all the big sides in action over the coming weekend. Our La Liga correct score betting tips guide you through the big games involving Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
With Girona’s challenge fading, the top two in the standings are now the traditional big two in Spanish football and both Barca and Los Blancos are strong favourites to win home games this weekend.

La Liga correct score betting: Our weekend picks
Getafe vs Sevilla: Getafe to win 1-0 @ 13/2
Sevilla did win at the Coliseum earlier this year in the Copa del Rey and their recent form has been better, but most things point towards a home victory here, although it's only likely to be a narrow one.
Getafe upset Girona 1-0 in their most recent home match and they’ve only lost once at the Coliseum in the league since Jose Bordalas returned as coach at the end of last season. That was against leaders Real Madrid so that’s a measure of the task facing Sevilla on Saturday.
Quique Sanchez Flores returns to his former club on the back of a surprise 2-1 home loss against struggling Celta Vigo just prior to the international break. Sevilla have struggled away this term, taking just 0.79 points per game on their travels while Getafe average 2.00 points per home game with four of their eight victories coming via 1-0 margins.

Barcelona vs Las Palmas: Barcelona to win 2-0 @ 13/2
Barcelona went into the international break in really high spirits having defeated Napoli in the Champions League and having gatecrashed the fortress Estadio Metropolitano with a 3-0 victory.
Atletico Madrid had only dropped two home league points in more than a year prior to that so it was a strong indicator that Barca are on the right track again as we approach the latter stages of a difficult season for the Catalans.
They shouldn’t have too many problems here. Las Palmas are one of the few teams that will look to keep the ball and will rival Barca in the possession stakes. However their form has really suffered a downturn in recent weeks with only two points from their last five games and they became the first team this season to lose to Almeria on matchday 29.
Barca should win this game relatively comfortably, but with a host of players only just back from busy international breaks and some key men still out injured, Xavi’s side may not necessarily run riot against a Las Palmas side that boasts the joint fourth best defensive record in La Liga.

Real Madrid vs Athletic Club: Real Madrid to win 2-0 @ 7/1
This is a meeting of two teams in the top four with Athletic Club currently battling Atletico Madrid for that much sought after fourth place. However it may not be quite as tough a test as it might initially appear for Real Madrid.
Firstly, Athletic are nowhere near as strong on their travels as they are at home. Ernesto Valverde’s side have only won five of their 14 road fixtures, losing four of them, whereas they’ve only suffered one home defeat which was a 2-0 loss against Real Madrid back on the opening weekend of the season.
The other big reason why this could end up being relatively comfortable for the hosts is Athletic’s participation in the Copa del Rey Final next weekend. The Basques haven’t won one of the big two trophies in Spain since the 1980’s so it’s a massive game for Athletic and they’ll be desperate to avoid injuries here.
Real Madrid, who average an outstanding 2.71 points per home game in La Liga 2023/24, should claim a solid win.

Villarreal vs Atletico Madrid: Villarreal to win 2-1 @ 11/1
At 11/1, these are the longest odds for any of our four La Liga correct score betting picks for matchday 30, but there’s certainly reason to think Villarreal can upset Atletico Madrid on Monday night.
Atleti’s league form is poor with back-to-back defeats against Cadiz and Barcelona seeing them into the international break. Their away record is also dismal with four wins and seven defeats on the road in the league this term. Their average of 1.07 points per away game is identical to the likes of Las Palmas and Osasuna and is the main reason they aren’t anywhere near title contention this term.
They’re missing key midfielder Rodrigo de Paul to suspension here too which compounds their issues against an in-form Villarreal side that has won their last four games. The Yellow Submarine have upset the likes of Barcelona and Real Sociedad away since the turn of the year so this fixture won’t scare them.
