Authenticity (4.5/5): Football Insider sparked Grealish's exit rumours

Back in November, we covered Tottenham Hotspur‘s interest in Manchester City winger Jack Grealish. It was revealed that Spurs have set their sights on the Englishman amid concerns over his future at the Etihad.

The story came from Football Insider, who previously covered Spurs scout Mick Brown's suggestion that City could be open to offers for him.

Value (3/5): £100million man out of the spotlight

It still remains unclear what City would demand for Grealish, but he is valued at £37.3million by Transfermarkt. The report previously suggested that City are unlikely to let him leave in January as they want to keep their struggling squad intact amid injury crisis.

However, Grealish's situation has only gotten worse since November, with the England international only managing two league starts this month. As such, expect his valuation to plummet further.

Suitability (4/5): More composed option for Postecoglou

Postecoglou's 4-2-3-1 formation at Spurs sees his players attack intensely higher up the field. However, this often leaves the side vulnerable in transition when they lose the possession. As a left-sided winger or attacking midfielder, Grealish could be a huge weapon for the Spurs boss, owing to his tendency to not lose possession so easily in the final third.

Upgrade? (3/5): Challenge for Son and Maddison

The versatile 29-year-old attacker could challenge both Son Heung-min and James Maddison at Spurs and provide Postecoglou a much needed squad depth, as his tactics and ideas have been impacted due to frequent injury crises at the club.

Logic (4/5): Time to push for an exit

City are now a mess, with Pep Guardiola struggling to steady the ship. What's worse for Grealish is that despite their poor form, he is not able to jump higher up the pecking order. As such, it might be a good time for him to leave Manchester and look to join a more settled project.

Whisper+ verdict: 18.5/25

Considering City's form and Grealish's situation, an exit appears on the cards. Spurs have been linked with the player since his Aston Villa days and they might finally get him next summer.
