Getafe had to rally late in order to secure a 3-2 comeback victory over amateur side UB Lebrijana in the Copa del Rey on Thursday. Despite being the overwhelming favourites, the Madrid outfit were trailing by two goals in under 25 minutes.
Prior to that win, Jose Bordalas' troops had lost back-to-back games and were without a win in five consecutive matches.
At the time of writing, the hosts are in the relegation zone in 18th place, having earned nine points from their first 10 league outings.
Getafe remain without long-term absentee Christantus Uche (ACL), who is ruled out for the remainder of the season. Mario Martin (red card) and Johan Mojica (accumulated yellows) are serving one-game suspensions and are both unavailable for selection.
On the other hand, Sevilla kicked off their Copa del Rey campaign with a 3-0 victory at amateur side Sporting Hortaleza on Thursday.
After a four-game winless run across all competitions, the Andalusian giants have now won back-to-back games without conceding.
Luis Garcia's troops are sixth in La Liga with a 5-2-3 win-draw-loss record. Interestingly, their three defeats so far have been against Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid, the league's top three sides.
There are no new absentees for the visitors, although Marcao (muscle) and Miguel Sierra (collarbone fracture) are still in the recovery room.
Sevilla have been the dominant side in recent clashes between these outfits, having won four of the last six H2Hs (D1, L1). They are also unbeaten in their last four trips to this stadium (W3, D1).
