Germany can qualify for the knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup on Saturday, but they will first have to get the better of Ivory Coast when they clash at Toronto Stadium in the second round of Group E fixtures.
Julian Nagelsmann's side managed to defeat Curacao 7-1 last Sunday, with six different players finding the back of the net, though there were some concerns about his team's defensive performance.
If Die Nationalelf are to go far in this summer's tournament, they will need their attacking stars to be at their best, and they must be strong on Saturday against Ivory Coast.
The bookmakers believe that Germany have what it takes to claim three points considering bet365 have priced a German victory at 8/15 (1.53), while pricing a win for their opponents at 9/2 (5.5).
Ivory Coast kept a clean sheet when they beat Ecuador 1-0 in their opening game of the World Cup, and perhaps the man to unlock their defence this weekend will be Deniz Undav.
Can Deniz Undav assist against Ivory Coast?

Deniz Undav does not boast a particularly extensive history with the national team having only played 10 times for Germany, with his appearance off the bench against Curacao his first ever at the World Cup.
The 29-year-old has in fact only played 398 minutes for the German team, though he impressively boasts a record of seven goals and four assists.
Undav was only on the pitch against Curacao for 27 minutes, but he found the back of the net once and produced two assists, and his ability to provide for teammates could be crucial against Ivory Coast.
Given the forward has proven to be a handful whenever he plays, there could be value in placing a bet with bet365 for Undav to Assist at 4/1 (5), even if he comes on from the bench.
Germany's offensive record assessed
While Undav could create strong scoring opportunities for Germany on Saturday, he will need his teammates to finish well if he is to end the game with an assist.
Nagelsmann's side have been prolific in front of goal recently, with the nation scoring at least four goals four times in their last six matches.
Germany have also scored 23 goals in their six most recent competitive fixtures, so if Undav does get on the pitch against Ivory Coast, it would not be surprising if the chances he created were converted.
