Eredivisie top scorers betting: Pavlidis and Gimenez double acca now 1.6/1

The Eredivisie boasts some of the sharpest finishers in Europe this season with the top goalscorers having all netted more than 20 league goals already. Vangelis Pavlidis leads the way on 23, but he's closely followed by Luuk de Jong on 22 and Santiago Gimenez who's found the back of the net 21 times.

None of the traditional big four clubs in the Netherlands face off this weekend, so the usual suspects in the anytime goalscorer betting market are going to be worth a punt as they face lesser opposition.

We're going to look at five potential anytime goalscorer doubles for this weekend's Eredivisie fixtures, which will include all of the league's top three scorers.

Vangelis Pavlidis (AZ Alkmaar) & Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord) to score anytime – (1.6/1)

Both of these players started the season on fire scoring almost every single time they took to the pitch. Pavalidis' goals appear to have counted for las than Gimenez's with AZ Alkmaar languishing in fourth spot.

Pavlidis is certainly the striker who's been able to stay more consistent throughout the season having never gone more than two league games without finding the back of the net.

Whereas Gimenez has been a much more frustrating player when not on top form. The Mexican star recently went on a run of one goal in seven Eredivisie clashes, but it's now two in three including one against PSV Eindhoven.

Pavlidis looks to be the most secure bet of the weekend to score anytime as he faces second-bottom Vitesse at home, while Feyenoord and Giemenz face Utrecht who are eight, which provides a much stunner test.

PSV's Luuk de Jong in action

Luuk de Jong (PSV) & Chuba Akpom (Ajax) to score anytime – (3/1)

Luuk de Jong has established himself as one of the finest and most reliable finishers in the Eredivisie with 171 goals during his career. This puts him just nine goals shy of cracking into the top ten, something you wouldn't bet against him achieving this season with eight games left to play.

While Ajax have had a very poor season by their standards, the emergence of Brin Brobbey has been a shining light, but he is currently using an injury having pulled out of the latest Netherlands squad. So, this should make room for summer signing Chuba Akpom to start just his fifth league game of the campaign.

Akpom has managed to score seven league goals this term while starting just four times, so he is a very solid backup for Ajax to have in Brobbey's absence. If he can find the back of the net, then this double has a fantastic chance of landing given De Jong's reliability in front of goal.

Ajax's Steven Bergwijn celebrating

Ricardo Pepi (PSV) & Steven Bergwijn (Ajax) to score anytime – (7/1)

Ajax have been missing their captain Steven Bergwijn since September 2023 having been in and out of the team with various knocks and muscular problems. However, he made a goalscoring return before the international break and is in line to make a start this weekend.

Bergwijn is Aax's third top scorer despite missing nine league games, so having him back will be a major boost. Ricardo Pepi has suffered from the likes of Hirving Lozano and Jonathan Bakayoko performing well this season often taking up a spot on the bench.

However, Lozano has one goal in his last 10 league outings, so with Pepi netting on his last substitute appearances, it would only be right for him to get the nod from kick-off. If that were to happen, then him scoring anytime looks to be a real possibility.

PSV's Johan Bakayoko

Johan Bakayoko (PSV) & Kristian Hlynsson (Ajax) to score anytime – (10/1)

PSV are blessed with some of the best attacking options in the whole of the Eredivisie. They have De Jong, Lozano, Pepi and Bakayoko all comfortable with playing across the form three, so it's no surprise we're picking three out of the four to get on the scoresheet this weekend.

Bakayoko is indeed underperforming his XG this season, so it's only a matter of time before he finds the back of the net on a more regular basis.

Beyond Bergwijn, Akpom and Brobbey there are not many players performing well in the final third for Ajax. So, we're going for Kristian Hlynsson given he's most likely to start on the weekend. The Icelandic international has started the last 10 games for Ajax, registering three goal involvements. So, while he's not a frequent goalscorer, his guaranteed minutes make him an appealing option.

Feyenoord's Yankuba Minteh in league action

Yankuba Minteh (Feyenoord) & Yukinari Sugawara (AZ Alkmaar) to score anytime – (19/1)

Yankuba Minteh had a tough start to life on loan with Feyenoord but since returning from AFCON 2023, he's been in scintillating form. It's now four goals and one assist in his last four league games for Feyenoord, so a lot of faith must be placed into the Gambian winger.

A slightly more obscure choice here for an anytime goalscorer with Yukinari Sugawara, but he's one of the most in-form AZ Alkmaar players. Before the international break, Sugawara had netted a brace against FC Volendam. He's got three in his last three appearances, so continuing that run of form against a Vitesse side who've shipped the fourth most goals in the Eredivisie could be a solid option.
