Rangers vs Dundee prediction: A comfortable win for the guests
Key Stats
- Dundee's last three matches have averaged four goals per game.
- Last season in the Premiership, Dundee averaged 3.53 total goals per game, while Rangers averaged 3.18 total goals per game.
- Rangers have beaten Dundee eight times in their last 10 H2H duels.
Correct score prediction: Rangers 3-1 Dundee
While Rangers enter this game after drawing against Motherwell in the opening match of the new Scottish Premiership season, they did also beat Plzen 3-0 just a few days ago, so they will be in a good mood.
Meanwhile, Dundee have started the new season with a loss to Hibernian and they have rarely managed to avoid a loss against Rangers in recent years, so we can't see any other outcome than a comfortable win for the hosts.

Rangers preview: Looking for their first league win of the season
As we mentioned above, Rangers enter this match after an impressive showing against Plzen in the UCL qualifiers and an emphatic 3-0 win in the first leg of their tie. However, they did slip up in the opening game of the new Premiership season last weekend, drawing against Motherwell away from home, so they will welcome a relatively easy game against Dundee at home on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Rangers are currently without injured Hamza Igamane, Dujon Sterling, and Thelo Aasgaard.
Predicted lineup: Butland (GK), Aarons, Djiga, Souttar, Jefte, Diomande, Rothwell, Cameron, Antman, Dessers & Gassama

Dundee preview: Not a lot of hope for a good result
After ending the League Cup in group stages with two wins and two losses, in a fairly easy group, Dundee also lost their first match of the Premiership season when they fell to Hibs at home. So, it's hard to see them doing well against Rangers on Saturday, but Dundee did put up a solid fight last time they met Rangers, although they lost 4-3 in the end after conceding three goals in the final 15 minutes of the game.
When it comes to team news, Charlie Reilly and Simon Murray are out with injuries.
Predicted lineup: McCracken (GK), Ingram, Astley, C. Robertson, Graham, Samuels, Jones, Digby, F. Robertson, Hay & Acquah

Player to watch: Djeidi Gassama
Rangers signed the 21-year-old winger this summer for just £2.2m from Sheffield Wednesday, but Gassama already showed his talent and pretty much paid off the price of his transfer with four goals in three matches in the Champions League qualifiers.

Gassama scored just seven goals last season for Sheff Wed in the Championship, so this is a bit of a hot and unexpected start for him, but if he can maintain a pace even close to his contributions so far, he will be a great signing for the Scottish giants.
