Wolfsburg’s top-flight status is close to being assured following back-to-back wins over Bochum and Freiburg, and a third victory on the spin over bottom club Darmstadt on Saturday would seal the deal. With the pressure off, Die Wolfe should find toppling their visitors a routine task and our top football predictions have sided with them in the markets as a result.
Darmstadt have found it tough to compete with the teams in German football’s top tier in 2023/24 and they lost without scoring at home to Heidenheim (0-1) last time out. The visitors have already conceded 73 goals this season and are primed to exit the division with the league’s worst defensive record.

Player to watch – Maxence Lacroix
French defender Maxence Lacroix has had an eventful few weeks for Wolfsburg and the 24-year-old scored for the second time in three Bundesliga appearances when he notched against Freiburg last weekend.
Lacroix eager to impress his suitors
Several clubs from England’s Premier League are believed to be monitoring Lacroix closely and the centre-half will be keen to showcase his defensive skills again on Saturday. Lacroix will need to stay disciplined however, having already been sent off three times in the Bundesliga this season.
