Cristiano Ronaldo betting odds: CR7 is 4/1 to score 2+ vs Sweden

Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying himself since departing Manchester United. The Portugal legend left Old Trafford on acrimonious terms, but was the top scorer of 2023. His 53 goals in the calendar year was a better than Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

He’s started 2024 in the same vein, with six goals in his first eight games. In the first international break of 2024, let’s take a look at the latest Cristiano Ronaldo betting odds.

Cristiano Ronaldo to score 2+ vs Sweden – 4/1

Cristiano Ronaldo has already scored seven career goals against Sweden, making them one of his favourite opponents. Ronaldo was also in fine form in EURO 2024 qualifying, with new Portugal boss Roberto Martinez managing to balance Ronaldo alongside Portugal’s exciting young talents.

Ronaldo has spent most of his recent years as a central striker as his years have advanced. But Martinez went against this grain, often deploying CR7 wide. It paid off too, with Ronaldo scoring ten goals in his nine Portugal appearances in 2023, including an incredible four braces.

With CR7 clearly in the mood for doubles, 4/1 is excellent value for a Ronaldo brace.

But if you’re feeling particularly confident ahead of this particular friendly, you could back Ronaldo to net what would be the 64th hat-trick of his illustrious career.

No player in history has scored more hat-tricks than the former Real Madrid man, with some truly iconic trebles along the way.

He scored a famous hat-trick against Spain at the 2018 World Cup, another against Spurs for Manchester United in 2022 that included a long-range thunderbolt to win it at the death, his incredible four hat-tricks against Atletico Madrid and another against Bayern Munich on the way to the Champions League trophy in 2017.

Cristiano Ronaldo to score a header vs Sweden – 5/1

Ronaldo’s game has come a long way from the stepover-heavy, spotty-faced tricky winger that arrived at Manchester United in 2003. The 39-year-old is constantly learning and adapting.

One big element of this has been his remarkable heading ability. Ronaldo possesses a remarkable leap and powerful neck muscles thanks to his relentless work in the gym. As a result, no player has scored more headers than him.

With talented crossers of the ball in Bruno Fernandes, Joao Cancelo and Raphaël Guerreiro lining up for Portugal, don’t be surprised to see Ronaldo net another header in this one.

Cristiano Ronaldo to win the EURO 2024 golden boot – 3/1*

The European Championships will hold a place deep in Cristiano Ronaldo’s heart. EURO 2016 was Ronaldo’s first, and so far, major international honour with his beloved Portugal.

Ronaldo played a dramatic role in the final. After going off injured, he was like a second coach on the touchline, almost superseding manager Fernando Santos.

But, Ronaldo did not win the golden boot, something he will be desperate to rectify in what will surely be his final EURO tournament.

Portugal should have a relatively comfortable group stage, where Ronaldo could notch up a few straight away. Then in the knockout stage, their last 16 game will come against one of the third-placed sides. In the quarter-finals, they will face a weaker opponent once again, one of the second-placed sides from groups D and E.

This kind path could present Ronaldo with an opportunity to build a lead over golden boot rivals Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.

Portugal to win EURO 2024 – 8/1

Portugal are surprisingly good value at 8/1 to win their second EURO tournament in three attempts. They may have less strength in depth than favourites England and France, but given their kind path to the semi-finals, they have a very good opportunity to be dark horses.

The Portuguese had the best qualifying record. They won ten from ten, scoring 36 goals and conceding just twice. They also have experience and quality up and down the pitch.

Ruben Dias is one of Europe’s finest centre-backs. Joao Cancelo and Raphaël Guerreiro are superb creative full-backs. Bruno Fernandes, despite a down year at Manchester United has been superb for Portugal, and he will be joined by Bernardo Silva in midfield, who has won it all and possesses immense quality.

Then, of course, they are spearheaded by the inimitable Cristiano Ronaldo, who will be keen to show Europe he’s still got it and win his second major international trophy.
