Hot Tip – Coventry to Win

  • Coventry have won four of their last five matches in all competitions.

Coventry City vs Bristol City team news

Coventry

The Sky Blues secured all three points away at Sheffield Wednesday last time out. Ben Sheaf scored a goal in each half to put Coventry 2-0 up just shy of the hour mark and although the home side pulled a goal back soon after, the visitors held on to win the match,

Haji Wright is a doubt for this game due to a slight groin strain but could pass a late fitness test.

Predicted Lineup: Collins (GK), Bidwell, Kitching, van Ewijk, Thomas, Palmer, Sheaf, O'Hare, Eccles, Sakamoto & Godden

Bristol City

Bristol City fell behind at home to Watford in their last league game but the Robins responded well and went in at the break level thanks to a twenty-fifth-minute equaliser from Scott Twine. The second forty-five failed to produce any further goals for either side so the game ended all square.

Mark Sykes, Kal Naismith, Rob Atkinson and Ayman Benarous could all miss out on Tuesday due to injury.

Predicted Lineup: O’Leary (GK), McCrorie, Dickie, Vyner, Tanner, Pring, James, Williams, Twine, Knight & Conway

Player to Watch: Matt Godden

There is a chance that Coventry's top scorer Haji Wright will miss the game against Bristol City through injury and if that is the case, then were backing Matt Godden to fill in for the American.

Godden, 32, is the Sky Blue's joint-second top scorer in the league this season with six goals and is only three goals away from beating last season's personal tally of eight.

The aging forward might not have many years left at this level but while Coventry City have him in their ranks they will use him when called upon. Godden might not have lots of goals in him anymore but he is still capable of winning a few games for Covnetry this season and we're backing him to impress at home to Bristol City on Tuesday night.
