Clermont Foot - Reims
France Ligue 1 - Stade Gabriel Montpied

Clermont have been propping up the Ligue 1 table for the majority of the season with a maximum of 12 points up for grabs in the remainder of the campaign. A loss to mid-table Reims would see them all but book their spot in Ligue 2 next term.

Key stats
- Clermont have won just one home Ligue 1 game in 2024
- Reims have only won one of their last five away league clashes
- Les Lanciers have not kept a home clean sheet this calendar year
Pre-game odds and win probability: Another defeat is on the cards for Clermont
Home: 5/2 (3.5) – 28.6%
Draw: 12/5 (3.4) – 29.4%
Away: 21/20 (2.05) – 48.8%
While Clermont can still save themselves from relegation into Ligue 2 it's incredibly unlikely given they have only won four matches all season. So this looks to be a pretty straightforward three points for Reims who are meandering in mid-table and offer very small value in the outright winner market.
Given how poor the odds are for Reims to beat a poor Clermont side, we believe adding in a -1 handicap could be worth looking into, but if that doesn't excite you, then be sure to check out all the other free betting tips we have to offer.
Last five H2Hs: Scoring first is crucial
This clash is event poised with both sides winning two games out of the past five meetings and the other resulting in a 0-0 stalemate. There have also been plenty of clean sheets, which means if either Clermotn or Reims can score first, their chance of winning will be massively boosted.

Clermont preview: All or nothing for Ligue 1's bottom side
As things stand, Clermont can finish on a maximum of 34 points and Metz – who occupy the first spot outside the bottom three – currently sit on 29 points, so one more defeat could well bring everything to a close for Les Lanciers.

Reims preview: Finishing the season on a high
Reims are too far off the pace in a race for Europe and have done enough to avoid a late-season relegation scrap so it would be understandable if some of their players start going through the motions, However, a loss away to the worst team in France's top division would be unthinkable.
Predicted lineup: Diouf (GK) – Akieme, Abdelhamid, Agbadou, Koudou – Nakamura, Muetsi, Teuma, Ito – Khadra – Bojang

Player to watch: Teddy Teuma
Reims' Maltese international Teddy Teuma has been quietly dragging his teammates through what's been a rather disappointing season. Teuma is the club's top scorer with six Ligue 1 strikes as well as three assists.
Age is just a number
Operating in that attacking midfield role has been fantastic for Teuma who's been able to pick up the half spaces and carve open several defences. He's tied joint-top in the Reism squad when it comes to goal-creating actions with nine. So, in what's been a poor season for Reims, watching Teuma step up in a big way is a positive moving forward.
