Clermont vs PSG lineups and latest team news

Clermont

Clermont made an awful start to their away game vs Le Havre last weekend. Conceded twice inside the opening 7 minutes and this was the main reason why a 1-2 defeat was suffered.

Clermont are yet to win this season and they’ve collected a single point from their first 6 league matches. The issues seem to be at both ends of the pitch. Clermont have the worst defensive record in the entire league, with 12 goals conceded, but also the second-weakest attack.

To make matters worse the influential wing-back Borges and the starting centre-forward Andric will miss the coming game. At least, after sitting out the first 4 rounds injured the team’s key centre-back Caufriez is fit again and his return brings some hope that things will improve soon.

Predicted Lineup – Diaw (GK), Seidu, Pelmard, Caufriez, Konate, Gonalons, Magnin, Gastien, Allevinha, Nicholson & Cham

PSG

PSG turned on the style last weekend when trashing their fierce rivals Marseille 4-0 at home. This is even though Kylian Mbappe limped off the pitch in the first half. This was the third win in the last four for the Parisians and they are starting to gather momentum after a slow start to the season.

Coach Enrique confirmed that star striker Kylian Mbappe is fit and was replaced last weekend only as a precaution. It is yet to be seen if he will start now, especially with Ramos bagging a brace when coming off the bench to replace him last weekend.

PSG have a lot of other selection issues with 6 more players in the treatment room right now. The most important of those was the impressive before his foot injury Marcos Asensio.

Predicted Lineup – Donnarumma (GK), Marquinhos, Skriniar, Hernandez, Hakimi, Ugarte, Zaire-Emery, Barcola, Dembele, Kolo Muani & Mbappe

Player to Watch: Goncalo Ramos

PSG's new striker Goncalo Ramos scored his first 2 goals for the club last weekend. The 22-year-old came on for the injured Kylian Mbappe and netted himself a seocnd-half brace.

Ramos scored 19 goals in 30 league appearances for Benfica last season and when he is high on confidence he can be lethal. That's exactly what Ramos is now and that's why we back him to extend his tally even if he only comes off the bench again.
