It's time for our Portugal League predictions ahead of Braga vs Chaves on Wednesday night. Braga are the big favourite to secure all three points at home to bottom-of-the-table Chaves, even without the league's top goalscorer Simon Banza who is playing for Congo DR at AFCON 2023.

Braga vs Chaves prediction – Betting tips & odds
Hot Tip – Braga to Win-to-Nil
- Braga have won six of their last seven encounters with Chaves.
- Chaves have failed to score in four of their last six matches in all competitions.
Another reason that we have backed Braga to win to nil as our main prediction for this game is that the hosts have won two of their last three matches and kept a clean sheet at home to Sporting last week.

Braga vs Chaves team news
Braga
Braga had to come from behind away at Famalicao to secure all three points. The pair played out a goalless first half but a penalty handed Famalicao the lead just after the hour mark. Braga responded well to this setback, equaling in the seventy-third minute via Cristian Borja and going on to win the game deep into stoppage time through Álvaro Djaló.
Sikou Niakaté and Simon Banza are both on international duty and won't feature on Wednesday night.
Predicted Lineup: Matheus (GK), Fonte, Oliveira, Borja, Gómez, Moutinho, Pizzi, Carvalho, Horta, Ruiz & Djaló
Chaves
Chaves missed out on a big opportunity to put another three points on the board last time out at home to fellow strugglers Rio Ave. The game ended goalless in the end but Chaves' top scorer Héctor Hernández should have won the game in the final minute but fluffed his lines from the penalty spot.
Habib Sylla is a doubt for Wednesday's trip to Braga but has only featured in a handful of games for the visitors this season, so shouldn't prove to be much of a miss.
Predicted Lineup: Souza (GK), Fernandes, Vitória, Pius, Correia, Cruz, Ribeiro, Guzzo, Nwakali, Jô & Hernández
*Lineups are usually announced 1hr before kick-off
Player to Watch: Álvaro Djaló
Álvaro Djaló was on form for Braga last time out against Famalicao, scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner.
We're backing the Spanish attacker to put in another good performance against Chaves on Wednesday, a team that sits bottom of the table and struggles to keep clean sheets. Djaló has chipped in with six league goals and three assists so far this season, making him a key component in the Braga attack.
