Cardiff vs Watford: Our top betting tips

Watford have recorded their first back to back wins under Slaven Bilic. Will they make it three wins here? Find out with our Cardiff vs Watford match preview with free tips, predictions and odds mentioned along the way.

Watford to win

Our first prediction for this match is one that sees us backing the Hornets to complete a hat-trick of wins, which is something they've not all season. They've been in good form of late though and have taken nine points from the last 12 available to them. On top of their good form, Cardiff haven't exactly been amazing; they've lost three of their last four matches and have won just two of their last five home games. On top of that, they've lost the last two times they've welcomed Watford to the Cardiff City stadium so they really have their work cut out!

Both teams will not score

Our next tip for this match is that at least one side will fail to score. Cardiff have seen each of their last four games end with someone blanking in front of goal with Watford's last three games seeing at least one side keep a clean sheet. With the betting odds higher for a ‘no' outcome, we think this bet represents decent value.

Here are the key stats & form guide for Cardiff vs Watford

Can Watford win again?

Watford's season might not have got off to the start they had hoped but with a new boss in the dugout they are now finding their feet a little and a tilt at promotion remains a very realistic ambition. For Cardiff, the promised land of the Premier League has never been further away; if they don't start chalking up results soon then they too could be heading for the Championship exit but by a different door – they're only four points above the drop zone.

Cardiff ended their winless run at the weekend with a 1-0 win over Rotherham but this game is likely to be a tougher test. That said, off the back of a solid result and with a sizeable absentee list – including Callum Robinson who is suspended – an unchanged lineup is more than likely.

Cardiff Predicted lineup – Allsop, Sang, Ng, Kipre, Nkounkou, Rinomhota, Wintle, Ralls, Ojo, Harris, O'Dowda

Watford will be buzzing after recording back to back wins for the first time this season and, more importantly, for seeming to find some form under their new boss, Bilic. It's not all bright and happy for the Hornets though; Jeremy Ngakia, Tom Cleverley and Rey Manaj are all still injured.

Watford Predicted lineup – Bachmann, Kamara, Sierralta, Troost-Ekong, Gosling, Kayembe, Choudhury, Pedro, Sarr, Sema, Bayo
