Bundesliga correct score betting: Our predictions

Bayer Leverkusen vs Mainz

Bayer Leverkusen have shown no signs of letting up in their impressive 2023/24 campaign. Alonso’s side are unbeaten in 22 Bundesliga matches this season, with 18 wins helping Die Werkself to maintain their lead over Bayern.

Leverkusen have also picked up the pace in recent weeks, winning their last four matches. This run includes two big home victories over Bayern (3-0) and third-placed Stuttgart (3-2).

The manner of these victories highlighted Leverkusen’s goal-scoring ability at the BayArena. Alonso’s outfit has scored 21 goals in their last seven home matches, with six of these fixtures including three or more goals for the hosts.

Die Werkself will ultimately feel confident about hosting relegation candidates Mainz, who have failed to win in their last 12 away in all competitions. Failure to score goals on the road has been a continuous problem for the 05ers, with just three strikes in their last seven.

Another one-sided home triumph is anticipated, with Leverkusen brushing aside all in their path towards the Bundesliga title.

Our prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Mainz.

Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich’s season is in danger of tailing off following recent turmoil. Thomas Tuchel announced he would leave Die Bayern at the end of the 2023/24 campaign following three consecutive defeats in all competitions.

The 3-0 loss at Bayer Leverkusen in early February came before a Champions League defeat at Lazio (1-0). A huge shock at mid-table Bochum (3-2) last time out further compounded Bayern’s worries.

However, some relief for Tuchel and his side could come from a return to the Allianz Arena this weekend. All three of Bayern’s recent losses came on the road, and they are in more solid home form, emerging as victors in eight of their last 10 in Bavaria.

More Bayern confidence will come from RB Leipzig’s dip in form since the winter break. The Red Bulls have won just twice in 2024 and have failed to win in their last three away matches.

Neither side has kept many clean sheets recently. Bayern have conceded at least once in five straight fixtures, and Leipzig have failed to keep the goals out in seven successive away matches. Tuchel’s side can step up here and turn a corner against a struggling Red Bulls side.

Our prediction: Bayern Munich 2-1 RB Leipzig.

Borussia Dortmund vs Hoffenheim

Borussia Dortmund's slim chances of reviving a Bundesliga title challenge have faltered following inconsistent form. Five draws from 10 league matches leaves BVB 17 points behind Leverkusen.

Edin Terzic’s side have improved in the new year, with four wins from their six matches in 2024. Two victories in this streak came on home turf as Dortmund cruised to back-to-back wins over mid-table Bochum (3-1) and Freiburg (3-0) at Signal Iduna Park.

Another side hovering in the Bundesliga’s middling pack is Hoffenheim, who head to Dortmund on Sunday. Despite mounting a promising European push early in the campaign, Hoffenheim’s recent form has declined rapidly.

Die Kraichgauer are winless in eight consecutive league games and have just one victory in 13. The recent Hoffenheim slide has come from a leaky backline as Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side has shipped 18 in their winless run, with two or more goals conceded in five of these fixtures.

Dortmund can keep winning at home and put goals past a Hoffenheim side sliding down the Bundesliga.

Our prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Hoffenheim.
