Cologne are five points shy of safety in the Bundesliga drop zone, though a victory over relegation rivals Bochum would rekindle their flickering survival hopes. However, the hosts have failed to win eight of their last nine home assignments and our latest football predictions suggest they could drop more points on Saturday.
Despite their wretched run and poor recent record against Bochum, the bookies have made Cologne favourites, equipping them with a 31.3% chance of securing a big win.

Player to watch – Philipp Hofmann
Bochum has struggled for goals this season, though the return to form of Philipp Hofmann in recent weeks has helped in that regard and the 31-year-old attacker will be aiming to continue his productive streak on Saturday.
Hofmann finding his rhythm
Hofmann managed to score both of Bochum’s goals in their 2-2 draw with Darmstadt last week, taking his tally up to three goals in five appearances for the club. That three-goal burst has accounted for 100% of his Bundesliga goals for the campaign so far and Hofmann should have extra confidence to draw from this weekend following his impact.
