Aston Villa have made a surprise late move for a Manchester United winger.
Unai Emery's side have reportedly submitted a concrete offer for Amad Diallo as the summer window enters its final week, according to 225Foot.
The 24-year-old Ivorian has four years left on a contract he signed in January 2025, and United have shown little sign of wanting to sell.
Furthermore, the Lions are closing in on the £47m capture of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Ibrahim Mbaye, while new signings Alejandro Garnacho and Nicolas Jackson can also cover on the right flank, but that has not stopped the transfer carousel from swirling.

Amad Diallo to Aston Villa
- Diallo is valued at £39m (€45m) by Transfermarkt, the rough marker for any move given no fee has been reported.
- He signed a new contract in January 2025 that runs to June 2030, leaving Manchester United four years of control over his future.
- His £120,000-a-week fixed salary sits well below Bruno Fernandes' £300,000 as United's top earner.
- Aston Villa's own wage bill, led by Boubacar Kamara on £150,000 a week, is considerably smaller than United's.

- Nicolas Jackson arrived from Chelsea to replace departing striker Ollie Watkins, not to add to the wide options.
