Football Whispers Allsvenskan betting tips today

Goteborg vs Sirius: Sirius or draw @ 4/6 (1.67)

We kick off our Allsvenskan betting predictions with a double chance wager that backs Sirius to avoid defeat as they visit Goteborg. Goteborg are winless across their last four matches whilst winning only three of their last 10. Sirius meanwhile have won each of their last three games and have lost just three of their previous 10 games. As for the head to head record, Sirius are unbeaten across each of the last three meetings between these sides.

Mjallby vs Elfsborg: Michael Baidoo to score anytime @ 12/5 (3.40)

We now turn our attention to Mjallby vs Elfsborg and the anytime goalscorer market. Our pick to find the net is Elfsborg midfielder Micharl Baidoo. The 25-year-old is on track to post his best ever stats – for Elsborg and the teams he represented prior to joining them in 2022 – season as he boast a combined 10 goals and assists right now. Six of those goal involvements have been goals with two of them having come in Baidoo’s last three outings.

GAIS vs Halmstad: GAIS to win @ 3/5 (1.60)

We end our Swedish Allsvenskan tips by betting on GAIS to beat Halmstad and whilst that hasn’t happened at GAIS’ stadium since 2016 now really does feel like the time for the hosts to end such a poor head to head record. GAIS have lost only one of their last 10 home games notably winning seven in that period. Halmstad meanwhile have lost seven of their last eight matches drawing the other.

Allsvenskan 2024 title odds

After a 1-0 home defeat to Sirius in their latest home outing, Malmo now have just a three-point lead over their nearest challengers Djurgarden. A Champions League qualification campaign hasn’t helped the players sustain the momentum they enjoyed earlier in the domestic season, but they remain worthy favourites and boast a rich history, having won 25 titles. IFK Goteborg and IFK Norrkoping are a very distant joint-second in that regard, as they have 13 championship trophies each.

Allsvenskan 2024 relegation odds

After entering August with just 12 points on the board from 17 league games, Vasteras look like a doomed side. Kalmar aren’t in a much better position, though they are within grasping range of moving away from the bottom-two – and automatic relegation. Meanwhile, it’s seen as 50/50 – the same as a coin toss – as to whether or not Varnamo will sink into the Swedish second tier.

Allsvenskan 2024 top scorer odds

Isaac Kiese Thelin has carried on from where he left off in a bountiful 2023 season, which saw him clinch the Allsvenskan Forward of the Year and top scorer awards. He’s already three-quarters of the way to emulating the 16-goal tally that got him said silverware, with four of those proving decisive in victory. That haul includes a duo of braces too, though his last Allsvenskan hat-trick dates back to April 2023.

Recent Allsvenskan betting tips from Football Whispers

The last round of action produced some surprise results that not even our Allsvenskan experts saw coming. Amongst them was a near-home defeat for odds-on favourites Djurgarden against Goteborg.

❌ Djurgarden vs Goteborg: Djurgarden to win @ 13/20 (1.65)

Djurgarden arrived into this match in good form, having won four of their last five home games – including their last two. That contrasted starkly to Goteborg, who had lost three of their last four away matches, conceding nine goals and scoring only three in that period.

The hosts also boasted a psychological advantage, given that they had won each of the last three home H2Hs against Goteborg. But runs have to end sometime, and after Thomas Santos gave Goteborg a shock lead, it took an injury-time leveller from Adam Stahl to rescue a point.

❌ Kalmar vs Hammarby: Under 2.5 goals @ 21/20 (2.05)

There had been no goals the last time Kalmar hosted Hammarby, and the prior meeting at Guldfageln Arena also produced less than three goals. The bookmakers also saw this as likelier than most to be a low scorer, with odds in the over/under market implying an average probability of 49% for this game to go under 2.5 goals.

But when you’re right 49% of the time, you are wrong 51% of the time. For all of Kalmar’s woes, they weren’t expected to fold quite as drastically as they did against third-placed Hammarby, going down 4-1 after conceding three times beyond the hour mark.

✔️ Varnamo vs Sirius: Sirius or draw @ 1/2 (1.50)

Varnamo were winless in each of their last three games and had won only one of their last five matches. They faced an opponent that had beaten the highly-respected Malmo last time out. In addition, Sirius had won two of the last three H2H encounters, and they made that three in four with an entertaining 4-2 victory that saw Leo Walta and Joakim Persson net a brace apiece.
