AFC Champions League winner odds
Al Hilal – 6/1 (7.0)
As the leaders of the Saudi Pro League ahead of 2024, it’s no surprise to see Al Hilal lead the way at the top of the AFC Champions League winner odds.
At the time of writing and just a handful of days before the new year kicks in, Al Hilal have won 15 of their 17 games in the Saudi Pro League and have drawn the other two. This unbeaten record sees Neymar and co. sit with an outrageous record of 50 goals scored and nine let in.
The club also went unbeaten in Group D of the AFC Champions League with a similar record of 16 bagged, two let in and five wins with just the one draw from six outings.
Al Nassr 6/1 (7.0)
Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates are going strong in all competitions this season with a spot in the King of Cup Champions semi-finals and a place in the knockout rounds of the AFC Champions League, just as they sit second in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Nassr have lost just three times in the league this season, but with a stunning run from Al Hilal in mind, it's likely we see Ronaldo's men fall short on the domestic front.
Nevertheless, after five Champions League back in Europe, if there is any man on the planet who has the capabilities of overturning the odds, it’s Ronaldo. With this in mind, Al Nassr are at the same AFC Champions League odds as Al Hilal.
Al Ittihad – 7/1 (8.0)
Things have not gone quite to plan for Al Ittihad since their sensational set of summer signings arrived. In fact, from all of the Saudi teams that splashed the cash, Al Ittihad probably had the best transfer window.
Karim Benzema is still pulling up trees with nine goals in 13 games ahead of 2024, but the likes of Fabinho and N'Golo Kante have failed to have much of an impact, while former Celtic star, Jota, struggles to get into the starting XI at times ahead of Igor Coronado.
Pohang Steelers – 8/1 (9.0)
With three of the best Saudi Pro League sides leading the way, Pohang Steelers are down as the fourth favourites in AFC Champions League odds.
The K League 1 is currently out of season as it follows a February-December pattern each year, and despite finishing as runners-up to Ulsan Hyundai in the race for the title, Pohang still sit ahead of the 2023 league champions in South Korea’s top flight.
Ronaldo’s potential Champions League opponents
Ronaldo will battle it out with a few icons of the footballing world for a place on the podium of the AFC Champions League. One of those was Neymar, but the Brazilian is out for the season with Al Hilal and won’t feature during the continental campaign, should the two be matched against one another.
The likes of Benzema at Al Ittihad could come Ronaldo’s way, while Al Hilal also Aleksandar Mitrović on their books and a former Serie A opponent of Ronaldo's, Sergej Milinković-Savić. The Portuguese superstar could also be matched up against his fellow Portugal teammate, Ruben Neves.
Fabinho, Jota and Kante are three more names who could be pinned against Al Nassr, but with sides from Uzbekistan, Abu Dhabi, China, Japan and South Korea making up the rest of the competition, there are no other well-known names Ronaldo could face.
