🔥 Our Hot tip

Both Teams to Score (Yes)

Both teams have scored in 20 of Wolfsburg's last 24 games

With Bayern Munich having suffered Champions League elimination on Wednesday, Wolfsburg will hope to take advantage of the demoralised visitors in the Bundesliga on Saturday, when they welcome them to Volkswagen Arena.

While Bayern have already been declared champions of the Bundesliga – their tally of 83 points dwarfs Wolfsburg's total of 26 – the 16th-placed hosts will hope that Bayern's defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final of the Champions League will lead to a deflated performance from the away side.

Wolfsburg currently occupy the relegation playoff spot, but they are six points from safety with just two fixtures remaining in the 2025-26 Bundesliga season.

To make matters worse, 17th-placed St Pauli are level on points with the Wolves, and they will have to face them in matchweek 34, and that makes Saturday's clash with Bayern a crucial game.

The hosts will be fearful of another defeat against the Bavarians, and a repeat of the 8-1 loss they suffered in January in the reverse fixture would be hugely damaging at this stage of the season given their goal difference is three better than St Pauli's.

Whispers Insight
Bayern Munich have played the second most accurate long balls per match this season in the Bundesliga (27.3).

Given Wolfsburg have taken five points from their past three top-flight games, it would be surprising if the likes of Christian Eriksen, Patrick Wimmer and Vinicius Souza did not once again feature in midfield.

As for the visitors, they entered their second-leg clash with PSG having suffered a 5-4 defeat against the French team in late April, but the best they could muster on Wednesday at Allianz Arena was a 1-1 stalemate.

Bayern should not feel too disheartened by their Champions League exit considering they were beaten by arguably the best team in the world, though they created surprisingly few opportunities of note in the second leg.

Whispers Insight
Wolfsburg rank second last in the Bundesliga for touches in the opposition box (596).

Vincent Kompany's side also drew 3-3 with Heidenheim last weekend, but they failed to win largely because they chose to rotate in preparation for Wednesday's encounter with PSG.

Several changes to the starting lineup may be made once again due to the team's European exploits, with the likes of Leon Goretzka and Bara Ndiaye options to start in a double pivot.

Whispers predicts: Wolfsburg 2-5 Bayern Munich

Though Bayern will be disappointed to have exited the Champions League, it is not surprising to see the boomakes back an away win at 1.65.

As for the events of the match itself, a safe bet would be to predict Both Teams to Score – valued at 1.33 – considering both teams have scored in 20 of Wolfsburg's last 24 games.

The Wolves should still be confident of creating chances given Bayern have often conceded at least two goals in recent weeks, and it could be sensible to predict Wolfsburg to Score Over 1.5 Goals at 2.1.

Wolfsburg conceded eight times in the reverse fixture, so while predicting Bayern Munich to Score Over 4.5 Goals may not be a cetrainty, there is value in that prediction given it is priced at 6.5.
