The Hammers will close the gap on Brentford to just a single point if they can find a way to win at the London Stadium this weekend.

West Ham vs Brentford prediction: Both teams to score?
Key Stats
- Both teams have scored in five of West Ham's last six outings.
- Two of Brentford's last four league games have produced goals at both ends of the pitch.
- Under 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the last seven encounters between these two clubs in all competitions.
Correct score prediction: West Ham 1-1 Brentford
These two sides played out a 1-1 draw when they locked horns in September's reverse league meeting and we're backing the scoreline to end the same this Saturday. The Hammers have only managed to win one of their last six matches in league and cup but have only failed to score in one of those matches, while Brentford have avoided defeat in each of their last three away games.

West Ham preview: Lost four of last six
The Hammers made the short trip to Stamford Bridge last time out where a goal from the returning Jarrod Bowen put the visitors 1-0 up at the interval.
However, this proved to be a false dawn for Graham Potter's side as Chelsea scored twice in the second 45 to win the match 2-1.
Michail Antonio, Crysencio Summerville, Lucas Paqueta, Edson Alvarez, Jean-Clair Todibo and Niclas Fullkrug make up the list of injury concerns for the home side this weekend.
Predicted lineup: Areola (GK), Cresswell, Coufal, Emerson, Wan-Bissaka, Kilman, Soucek, Soler, Irving, Kudus & Bowen

Brentford preview: Unbeaten in three on the road
Just like West Ham, Brentford weren't in action over the weekend having been knocked out in an earlier round and their last match was against a fellow London club.
Brentford welcomed Tottenham to the Gtech Community Stadium and perhaps the hosts were a little too welcoming as a Vitaly Janelt own goal put Spurs in front in the 29th minute. As the Bees pushed forward in the second half, Tottenham counter-attacked and in the 87th minute, the visitors wrapped up the three points with a second goal.
Joshua Dasilva, Rico Henry, Mark Flekken, Aaron Hickey, Igor Thiago and Gustavo Nunes could all miss out this weekend through injury.
Predicted lineup: Valdimarsson (GK), Ajer, Collins, van den Berg, Norgaard, Wissa, Janelt, Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade & Lewis-Potter

Player to watch: Jarrod Bowen
Jarrod Bowen returned from injury to score against Chelsea last time out and while the Hammers still ended up losing that game, manager Potter will be pleased to have his top scorer fit again.

Bowee has played 20 times in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals and providing four assists, making him the club's key attacking and creative threat.
Potter will be delighted to have Bowen back
We're backing Bowen to put in another top-class performance this weekend against Brentford, a team that he scored a hat trick against in this very fixture last season.
