Both sides are in good form and finding the back of the net regularly

London pair West Ham United and Brentford face each other in the final FA Cup fifth-round tie on Monday night for an all-Premier League derby at the London Stadium.

The Hammers progressed from the fourth round with a home win against QPR in January; they have since lost just twice in 10 outings producing six wins and four clean sheets in that time, and they will be hoping to maintain league status for next year.

As for the visitors, Keith Andrews's Bees have been impressive this season and sit seventh in the Premier League table. Should they win on Monday night it would see them equal their best-ever run in the FA Cup.

As part of this week's round of FA Cup betting tips, check out our West Ham United vs Brentford prediction below.

West Ham United vs Brentford prediction: Bees to edge past Hammers?

Key stats:

  • Crysencio Summerville has scored seven times in his last 10 appearances and has also registered two goals and an assist in his last two FA Cup games.
  • Brentford have won seven of their 10 games against the Hammers since their promotion to the Premier League in 2021; they haven't beaten a side more often during that time.
  • This will be just the third time that West Ham have faced the Bees in the FA Cup, meeting in the 1926-27 season and more recently in the 2022-23 campaign.

Correct score prediction: West Ham United 1-2 Brentford

The FA Cup is unlikely to be the main focus for Nuno Espirtio Santo as the Hammers still have their Premier League status to maintain, but their recent good form may give them confidence to reach the next stages of the competition. Keith Andrews's side boast an identical record to their Monday opponents across their last six games but will may able to focus on the FA Cup more, with the Bees currently seventh in the table.

West Ham preview: Looking to continue good form

West Ham United came away from their win over Fulham with no further injuries and will have a near fully fit squad available to them. The Hammers will potentially be without Pablo Felipe.

Predicted lineup: Areola (GK); Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Disasi, Diouf; Bowen, Soucek, Kante, Summerville; Wilson, Castellanos

Last five results:

  • 04/03/2026: Fulham 0-1 West Ham United (Premier League)
  • 28/02/2026: Liverpool 5-2 West Ham United (Premier League)
  • 21/02/2026: West Ham United 0-0 AFC Bournemouth (Premier League)
  • 14/02/2026: Burton Albion 0-1 West Ham United (FA Cup)
  • 10/02/2026: West Ham United 1-1 Manchester United (Premier League)

Brentford preview: Injury setbacks will force changes

Rico Henry managed just 21 minutes in Brentford's most recent game before being forced off with a hamstring injury; he will miss the next several weeks at the very least. The full-back joins Fabio Carvalho, Antoni Milambo, Josh Dasilva, Vitaly Janelt and Aaron Hickey, although there is a chance Reiss Nelson returns in time for the FA Cup clash.

Predicted lineup: Valdimarsson (GK); Kayode, Collins, Ajer, Lewis-Potter; Jensen, Henderson; Nelson, Damsgaard, Schade; Thiago

Last five results:

  • 03/03/2026: AFC Bournemouth 0-0 Brentford (Premier League)
  • 28/02/2026: Burnley 3-4 Brentford (Premier League)
  • 21/02/2026: Brentford 0-2 Brighton & Hove Albion (Premier League)
  • 16/02/2026: Macclesfield 0-1 Brentford (FA Cup)
  • 12/02/2026: Brentford 1-1 Arsenal (Premier League)

Player to watch: Jarrod Bowen

West Ham United's captain has 13 goal involvements so far this season in the Premier League and will be looking to make a big impact again on Monday night.

The England winger will want to maintain Premier League status over a cup run but is still certainly a player to keep an eye on ahead of this one.
