Under 1.5 Goals for Wales

Wales have scored one or fewer goals in six of their last seven games

Wales will welcome Denmark to Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday in what could be a crucial game in their fight against relegation from UEFA Nations League A.

The Welsh are last in fourth with three points after three games, while Denmark are second with three points due to goal difference, and finishing in fourth place would guarantee demotion to League B.

When the two countries met on September 27, Denmark emerged as 2-0 winners, though neither team was particularly impressive on the day.

Wales will be desperate to prevent their opponents from winning a fifth consecutive match against them, and perhaps the Dragons will take comfort from their 2-1 victory against Norway on Thursday.

Craig Bellamy's side benefitted enormously from the fact the Norwegians were reduced to 10 men less than 20 seconds after the second half started, but it should not detract from what was an impressive result.

That victory ended a winless streak of six games, a stretch in which the Welsh lost three times, with all three defeats coming in the three fixtures prior to Thursday's triumph.

Talisman Harry Wilson picked up an injury prior to the start of the international break, though the likes of Lewis Koumas and Daniel James have impressed for the hosts and are likely to continue in attack.

Denmark should be wary about taking their place in Nations League A for granted, as while some observers believe they have what it takes to finish above fourth, third place could lead to their participation in a relegation playoff battle.

The Danish were beaten 4-2 by Portugal on Thursday, and that was their third defeat in six games, a period in which they won twice.

Boss Brian Riemer will not be able to select Patrick Dorgu, who started as a left-winger against Wales earlier in September before coming off due to a hamstring issue, and he could be replaced by Mohamed Daramy.

Whispers predicts: Wales 1-2 Denmark

Despite Wales boasting home advantage, the bookmakers have priced a Denmark victory at 10/11 (1.91).

Wales have scored one or fewer goals in six of their last seven games, and that may make a starting bet of Under 1.5 Goals for Wales at 2/5 (1.4) sensible.

The visitors have netted two goals in each of their last four games, so it could make sense to bet Over 1.5 Goals for Denmark at 17/20 (1.85).

Rasmus Hojlund has scored two goals in three games for Denmark, and there could be value in predicting Rasmus Hojlund to Score First at 9/2 (5.5).
