Wales vs Armenia Lineups and Last Match

Wales

A solitary goal from Moore in the 41st-minute proved enough for Wales to secure all 3pts against Latvia in their last Euro qualifier back in March. Page's men have made a good start to life without Gareth Bale but still rely on their strong defence to get results. Along with Bale, Gunter, Allen and Williams have all retired from international football and there is a younger, fresher look to the latest Wales squad.

Predicted Lineup – Ward (GK), Roberts, Rodon, Ampadu, Williams, Mepham, Ramsey, James, Morrell, Wilson & Moore

Armenia

Armenia could only manage a draw at home to Cyprus in their last friendly match. Ranos scored twice in the game after Armenia had fallen behind late in the first half but the hosts conceded a late goal and the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Adamyan, Grigoryan, Hambardzumyan and Mkoyan have not been called up to the latest Armenia squad for one reason or another.

Predicted Lineup – Buchnev (GK), Haroyan, Piloyan, Hovhannisyan, Bichakhchyan, Davidyan, Barseghyan, Spertsyan, Iwu, Shaghoyan & Ranos

Player to Watch: Kieffer Moore

The Bournemouth striker has taken well to life as an international player, scoring 10-goals in 33-caps for Wales so far.

Moore scored the winner against Latvia last time out and the target man will be expected to lead the line against Armenia on Friday. We're expecting another low-scoring game for Wales but if Page's men are to secure a win, our money would be on Moore scoring at least one of the goals.

With Bale now retired there is less pressure on this Welsh side and the likes of Moore are getting more chances to start games. Wales didn't perform at the World Cup and Bale looked pretty poor throughout the competition but now that he has hung up his boots there is more of a balance to the side, even if the quality isn't quite at the same level.
