Celta Vigo's struggles continued over the weekend, as they were held to a goalless draw by Elche, one of La Liga's worst teams this season.

The Galician side have played nine competitive matches this season, winning only one of them. They have also struggled in front of goal, failing to score five times during that stretch.

It is worth mentioning that Celta kicked off their Europa League campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Omonia Nicosia last month. Head coach Claudio Giraldez will be unable to call upon the services of Andres Antanon (ankle), Miguel Roman (knee), (Carl Starfelt (hamstring), and Jones El-Abdellaoui (knee) for this skirmish.

Unlike their opponents, Juventus cruised to a comfortable 5-0 victory over NEC Nijmegen in their Europa League opener and, as a result, are leading the standings after Matchday 1.

The Serie A giants are not particularly brimming with confidence ahead of this clash, as they needed a late equaliser to salvage a point at Cagliari last weekend.

Luciano Spaletti's troops are now unbeaten in their last three competitive matches (W2, D1), keeping two clean sheets in the process. They have also been impressive on the road, having lost only one away game since mid-February.

The Turin giants are currently missing forwards Jeremie Boga (thigh), Kenan Yildiz (broken foot), and Jeff Ekator (thigh), as well as midfielders Manuel Locatelli (meniscus), and Khephren Thuram (knee), while goalkeeper Kamil Grabara is ruled out for the remainder of the season. Moreover, Kelly Lloyd and Arman Durmisi are both suspended for this match.

This will be the first encounter between these sides in 26 years. They previously clashed twice in this competition (then UEFA Cup) during the 1999/2000 season, with both teams winning one apiece.

Whispers Predicts: Celta Vigo 0-1 Juventus

Priced at 5/4 (2.25), Juventus are considered favourites by the bookmakers ahead of this clash.

The visitors have nine wins in their last 14 outings across all competitions, and considering Celta's recent run of results, we are confident that Juventus will claim all the spoils here.

Six of Celta's last seven fixtures and eight of Juventus' last 10 matches went below the 2.5-goal threshold, and this can be backed at 3/4 (1.75).

We also fancy Juventus to win to nil at 5/2 (3.50). This landed in nine of the visiting team's last 14 fixtures in all competitions.
