During their two Champions League triumphs in 2024 and 2025, PSG started the campaign slowly before exploding into life after Christmas. This time around, they have started like a train in Europe, which could be ominous for the rest of Europe.
The Parisians have already beaten Manchester City and Barcelona, two teams expected to challenge them for their crown this season, scoring eight goals across both fixtures.
Even with several injuries to key players, they look a threat every time they go forward, with Desire Doue playing a leading role so far this campaign.
Making it four wins in four isn't a formality as Villarreal are a capable side, but Luis Enrique will be keen to avoid a playoff tie this time around, while his squad returns to full fitness.
For the match on Tuesday, Enrique is without Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembele, Nuno Mendes, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Alessandro Longoni on Tuesday.
As for Villarreal, they will be well aware of just how big the task in front of them is on Tuesday night, and they are not exactly in the best form to challenge the best team in Europe.
