Valencia completed their previous campaign in style, defeating Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, and Real Sociedad in their final four games.

While this was enough to avoid a late relegation scrap, Los Che were two points short of La Liga's Conference League spot and will not feature in a UEFA club competition for the seventh consecutive season.
