Troyes’ return to Ligue 1 has been commendable. They held Paris FC to a goalless stalemate first, before beating Lorient 2-1 last matchday.
That victory marked their first in the top-flight since January 2023, when they incidentally beat Strasbourg 3-2 at Stade de la Meinau.
Although Strasbourg are a step up in term of opposition quality, returning to play at Stade de l’Aube is exactly what Troyes would have wanted, having avoided defeat here in their last six home games.
Yvann Titi and Imsel Boura are the two players confirmed missing for Troyes.
For Strasbourg, as many as five players are expected to sit this one out. Joaquin Panichelli, Ismael Doukoure, Martial Godo, Max Oyedele and Samir El Mourabet are missing.
Strasbourg tasted matchday one’s heaviest defeat by falling 4-0 to Marseille, but picked themselves up in the next round.
Hugo Oliveira tasted the first win of his Strasbourg tenure, beating Lens 2-1 in the second round.
Le Racing will travel to Troyes confident of their form, having won each of their last three Ligue 1 away games against promoted sides.

Whispers predicts: Troyes 1-2 Strasbourg
Strasbourg to win at 23/20 (2.15) is worth the bet, according to Bet365, with the visitors clearly the superior side on paper. While Troyes will also be elated following their recent victory, Strasbourg have the edge in terms of individual quality.
Nine of Strasbourg’s last ten league games produced over 2.5 goals. Over 2.5 total goals at 10/11 (1.90) offers significant value.
Only one of Troyes’ last six games saw both teams score. However, Strasbourg have kept just two away league clean sheets since the start of last season. Backing BTTS – Yes at 8/11 (1.72) makes sense here.
Gessime Yassine as anytime goalscorer at 15/4 (4.75) offers clear value, with the 20-year-old set to start following his man-of-the-match performance against Lens where he netted a brace. He also registered a assist against Troyes last season whilst playing for Dunkerque.
> Over 2.5 total goals at 10/11 (1.90) | Likelihood: Probable
> Strasbourg to win at 23/20 (2.15) | Likelihood: Likely
> BTTS – Yes at 8/11 (1.72) | Likelihood: Likely
> Gessime Yassine as anytime goalscorer at 15/4 (4.75) | Likelihood: Possible
