Troyes return to Ligue 1 after a three-year absence. They have enjoyed a year-on-year improvement since, finishing 17th and 10th, before winning Ligue 2 last campaign.

Stephane Dumont, who starred for Lille during his playing career, returns to Ligue 1 after spending his managerial career with Guingamp and Troyes in the second tier.
