Chelsea or draw

Tottenham have failed to win each of their last two matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham will take on Chelsea on Saturday, 1 November, in the biggest Premier League match of the weekend.

Matches between these two London sides are often feisty affairs, and given that Chelsea are already playing catch-up in the title race, more dropped points here could be disastrous.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Tottenham vs Chelsea prediction below.

Tottenham vs Chelsea prediction: The visitors to avoid defeat

Key Stats

  • Tottenham have won just one of their last four matches in all competitions.
  • Chelsea have lost just one of their last six matches in all competitions.
  • Both teams have scored in four of Chelsea's last five matches.

Correct score prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea

Based on which side has played the better football this season, you'd make Chelsea the favourites here, but Tottenham have developed a knack for winning matches ugly, while the Blues have developed a habit of finishing matches with ten men.

Most recent H2Hs: Advantage Chelsea

Chelsea should be the more confident of the two sides coming into this one, based on their recent record in this fixture. The Blues have won each of their last four matches against Tottenham, including a 4-3 triumph at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in last season's corresponding fixture.

Tottenham preview: Injuries are stacking up

For the second year running, Tottenham are having to contend with a significant injury crisis at this stage of the season, and Thomas Frank could be without 11 players on Saturday. Three players who have an outside chance of being available are Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie and Wilson Odobert, but no risks will be taken.

Predicted lineup: Vicario (GK), Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence, Palhinha, Bentancur, Kudus, Bergvall, Simons, Kolo Muani

Last five results

  • Newcastle 2-0 Tottenham
  • Everton 0-3 Tottenham
  • Monaco 0-0 Tottenham
  • Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa
  • Leeds 1-2 Tottenham

Chelsea preview: No Delap after ‘stupid' red card

Liam Delap will be unavailable for Chelsea after being sent off against Wolves on Wednesday night. Enzo Maresca labelled the youngster ‘very stupid' for picking up two bookings in the dying minutes of the game, and the Italian now has little choice but to start the out-of-form Joao Pedro up front. Chelsea are also without Cole Palmer, Dario Essugo, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Predicted lineup: Sanchez (GK), James, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella, Caicedo, Fernandez, Neto, Estevao, Garnacho, Pedro

Last five results

  • Wolves 3-4 Chelsea
  • Chelsea 1-2 Sunderland
  • Chelsea 5-1 Ajax
  • Nottingham Forest 0-3 Chelsea
  • Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool

Player to watch: Joao Pedro

As touched upon earlier, Joao Pedro is a man who could probably do with a bit of time on the bench, but he will be forced into another start this weekend following Delap's sending off. Pedro started his Chelsea career brilliantly, but he has now gone 11 matches without a goal in all competitions.
