Tottenham will want to put their 3-0 defeat at Brentford on the Premier League opening weekend behind them when they host another London-based team in Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup second round at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.
Spurs are participating in the second round after failing to qualify for Europe this season, and will be aiming to get through to the next round, where they could face a fellow Premier League side.
Meanwhile, Charlton shocked the London Stadium with a 2-1 win at West Ham United in the Championship last time out, and they were also 3-1 victors at Cheltenham Town in the first round of this competition.

Despite a strong pre-season, Tottenham were sent crashing back down to reality by being well-beaten at Brentford.
It is a worrying start after the level of spending this summer and the back-to-back 17th-place Premier League finishes.
Roberto De Zerbi will be desperate to avoid what would be a shock if they went out of the cup to Charlton, but they should have too much for the Championship side.
Newly-appointed captain Micky van de Ven and World Cup winner Pedro Porro remain fitness doubts though, while Xavi Simons, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odebert and Mohammed Kudus are all injured.
As for Charlton, Kayne Ramsay and Charlie Kelman remain sidelined, while the match could come too soon for new signing Timothy Ouma.
However, that will not stop the Addicks really going for it after a strong start to the season.
Indeed, Nathan Jones has guided them to three straight victories in all competitions, but it would be a real shock if they made it four here.
With eight new signings through the door, there have certainly been improvements made at the Valley after a 19th-place Championship finish last season.

Whispers predicts: Tottenham 2-1 Charlton Athletic
Tottenham are 1/4 (1.25) favourites to win, but while we agree, we want to explore some more ambitious bets.
We can see Charlton causing what could be a rotated Spurs side problems, and so BTTS – Yes at 39/40 (1.98) appeals.
Mikey Moore got plenty of chances against Brentford, and with Savinho and Omar Marmoush not yet signed from Manchester City, he could get the nod again.
Moore to score anytime at 7/4 (2.50) is at a tempting price, while we are also backing Correct score – 2-1 at 17/2 (9.50) as we do not think Tottenham will have it all their own way against an in-form Charlton.
> BTTS – Yes at 39/40 (1.98) | Likelihood: Probable
> Moore to score anytime at 7/4 (2.50) | Likelihood: Possible
> Correct score – 2-1 at 17/2 (9.50) | Likelihood: Outsider
