Switzerland to win to nil

North Macedonia haven't scored a goal since November 2025.

Switzerland will take on North Macedonia on Tuesday, 6 October, as the UEFA Nations League continues.

As things stand in Group B1, Switzerland boast a five-point lead over Scotland and Slovenia, so a home win here could all but secure promotion back to League A.

Switzerland should fancy their chances of picking up all three points here and solidifying their position at the top of Group B1.

Murat Yakin, who continues to do an excellent job as the manager of the national team, has ensured the Swiss have picked up where they left off at this summer's World Cup, where they were unlucky to lose to Argentina in the quarter-finals.

Three wins from three games is nothing to be sniffed at in the Nations League, with Spain, Portugal and Montenegro the only other teams to boast a 100% record in the competition this season.

What makes their form even more impressive is the fact they are doing it without Granit Xhaka, who has been a mainstay in the heart of the Swiss midfield for over a decade.

Their opponents on Tuesday night, North Macedonia, currently look like sitting ducks in Group B1 after picking up zero points from their first three group matches.

Their poor form extends well beyond the Nations League, though, with Goce Sedloski's side failing to win any of their last 11 matches in all competitions.

The most glaring issue in the squad is a lack of goals. They have failed to find the back of the net in each of their last seven outings, and Sedloski's position is under threat despite only taking charge last year.

For the match against Switzerland, Sedloski will be without Jani Atanasov, who is suspended after breaching the yellow card threshold against Scotland.
