Pre-game odds and win probability: Ghana are clear favourites

- DRAW:2/1 (3.00) – 33.3%
- AWAY:7/10 (1.70) – 58.8%
*Odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
Ghana have been perhaps the biggest underachievers in the qualifying rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations. They have been the clear favourites in all three group games but failed to win any of them (D1, L2), scoring only once in the process.
Despite their recent shortcomings, Otto Addo’s troops are the expected winners at 7/10 (1.70). Teams with these odds generally have a 58.8% probability of winning.

It is also fair to point out that three of Sudan's last four home games featured less than two goals. For this reason, under 1.5 total goals has an appealing look at 21/20 (2.05). That one has a 48.8% chance of landing.
Most recent H2Hs: A fairly one-sided contest
Ghana have been the dominant side in previous meetings between these outfits, as they have eight wins in their last 11 skirmishes with Sudan (D2, L1).

Sudan preview: Hoping to get back to winning ways
Sudan are second on the four-team table with four points from a possible nine. A victory here would be crucial, as they would need to win only one of their remaining two games to advance to the AFCON for the third time in the past 15 years.
Interestingly, coach James Kwesi Appiah not only won the Nations Cup with Ghana as a player but has also had two stints in charge of the Black Stars, leading them to the FIFA World Cup in 2014. The only way Appiah would qualify Sudan for AFCON 2025 would be at the expense of his birth country, Ghana.
Predicted lineup: Mustafa (GK), Yousif, Karshoum, Koko, Agab, Abuaagla, Al-Rasheed, Khidir, Thierry, Abdelrahman & Eisa.

Ghana preview: Looking to salvage their qualifying campaign
With just two points earned in their first three games, Ghana need all the points they can get. The Black Stars are third on the Group F table and are in danger of missing the AFCON for the first time since 2004. On the positive side, there are no injured or suspended players ahead of this clash.
Predicted lineup: Ati (GK), Seidu, Djiku, Salisu, Mensah, Owusu, Sulemana, Semenyo, Kudus, Nuamah & Ayew.

Player to watch: Ibrahim Sadiq

Ibrahim Sadiq was called up to the Ghanaian national team for the first time this month, and although he did not participate in the reverse fixture last weekend, the Twente player will likely make his international debut on Tuesday afternoon.
Given that the Black Stars have scored only once in three group matches thus far, a player like Sadiq, who has three goals and three assists in his last five appearances, could be a valuable addition to the squad.
