Awaiting the winners of this tie in the May 22 final at  Stade de France is one of Lens or Toulouse, who face off in the other last-four encounter.

Since Strasbourg changed ownership in June 2023, fans have repeatedly voiced their disapproval of the Clearlake consortium, with Saturday’s joint protest alongside Chelsea supporters marking another chapter in what has been a turbulent relationship so far.

Despite those off-field tensions, Strasbourg’s performances have remained unaffected. Gary O’Neil’s side currently sit eighth in Ligue 1 and have reached the semi-finals of both the Conference League and Coupe de France.

Victory in either competition would guarantee Europa League football next season and end Les Bleu et Blanc’s seven-year wait for silverware, having last lifted the now-defunct Coupe de la Ligue.

Standing between Strasbourg and a first Coupe de France final in 25 years is a Nice side who are winless in the last three meetings, having fallen to a 3-1 defeat when the teams met earlier this month.

Having already won three domestic cup ties at home this season, Strasbourg will be full of confidence heading into Wednesday’s clash. However, Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Rennes—their first home defeat in nine matches—should provide a note of caution.

While Strasbourg sit comfortably in eighth, Nice approach Wednesday’s semi-final with their attention divided, as they remain only four points clear of the relegation zone with four games to go.

Claude Puel's men held Lille to a goalless draw last time out and are winless in 10 of their last 11 league outings since the start of February, during which they have beaten Montpellier and, most recently, Lorient on cup duty.

Les Aiglons are aiming to reach their second Coupe de France final in five years, having fallen 1-0 to Nantes in the 2022 showpiece after defeating lower-league Versailles in the semi-finals.

Still without key defenders such as Moise Bombito, Dante, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, and Mohamed Abdelmonem, it is no surprise that Nice have struggled defensively, managing just five Ligue 1 clean sheets—the fewest in the division.

Whispers predicts: Strasbourg 3-1 Nice

Strasbourg boast superior attacking options compared to Nice, and with the benefit of home support, a home win at 1.70 stands out as the best value.

Both teams have found the net in each of the last five encounters between these sides, making BTTS – Yes at 1.80 a sensible choice.

Alternatively, predicting a correct score of 3-1 at 13.00 has merit, as three of Strasbourg’s last four home victories in domestic competitions have yielded that result.

📈 Whispers' Tips

> 1x2 - Strasbourg to win at 1.70 | Likelihood: Probable

> BTTS - Yes at 1.80 | Likelihood: Probable

> Correct Score - 3-1 at 13.00 | Likelihood: Outsider
