All square

Brest are coming off a rough week; they've lost two games in the last seven days, conceding 10 goals in the process. Brest have struggled over the course of their season, winning one of their last six games; they are now 17th on the Ligue 1 table, with just four points from five matches. Similarly, Strasbourg have struggled to find their best form of late; they are without a win in five games this season, with three draws and two losses. These are two teams that don't win a lot of games; and considering Strasbourg drew three of their last four games, we think that this match will end in a stalemate.

Both teams will score

We've pointed out that Brest conceded 10 times in their last two games; they've struggled a lot defensively, keeping no clean sheets in their last six matches. On the other hand, Brest have scored their fair share of goals; they found the back of the net in nine of their last 11 games across all competitions. Just like Brest, Strasbourg have scored and conceded goals consistently over the course of their season; they scored in 10 of their last 11 matches, whilst keeping no clean sheets in their last six games, and one clean sheet in their last 12 matches. Both teams scored in four of Brest's last five, and in eight of Strasbourg's last 10 games; and for this reason, we are confident that both teams will get on the score sheet.

Is this an early season relegation six pointer?

The above heading might be a tad tongue in cheek but, that said, both Brest and Strasbourg will be a tad concerned by their slow starts to the season. Brest have amassed four points from five games with Strasbourg a point worse off leaving both in the relegation zone. If someone wins this game, it will be a big three points.

Brest sent Hianga'a M'Bock out on loan to Caen on the final day of August; they also saw Rafiki Said leave for Nimes on the same day. On the positive side, neither of these players were starters, so Brest should do just fine without them.

Brest Predicted lineup – Bizot, Duverne, Chardonnet, Dari, Brassier, Belkebla, Magnetti, Honorat, Lage, Belaili, Slimani

Dimitri Lienard picked up an injury in the first half of Strasbourg's last match, and will not be available for selection; he joins a lengthy injury list, which includes Maxime Le Marchand, Lucas Perrin and Gerzino Nyamsi, amongst others.

Strasbourg Predicted lineup – Sels, Pierre-Gabriel, Doukoure, Djiku, Delaine, Aholou, Bellegarde, Diarra, Prcic, Diallo, Gameiro
