Stockport preview: A chance to bounce back

Stockport's charge towards promotion hit a bump at the weekend, as they lost 3-0 at home to Luton Town. This match provides them with an opportunity to get straight back into winning ways, but changes to the starting XI are expected. One man who will definitely miss out is Benony Breki Andresson, with the striker on international duty with Iceland U21s.

Predicted lineup: Addai (GK), Olowu, Pye, Connolly, Moxon, Fiorini, Bailey, Dodgson, Fevrier, Diamond, Wootton

Last five results

  • Stockport 0-3 Luton
  • Tranmere 1-3 Stockport
  • Port Vale 0-3 Stockport
  • Stockport 1-0 Exeter
  • Stockport 1-0 Blackpool

Wigan preview: No Carragher

Ryan Lowe will go searching for victory on Tuesday night without James Carragher, after the defender was called up to the Malta squad. In better news, Baba Adeeko and Tyrese Francois are both back in training and could feature.

Predicted lineup: Tickle (GK), Fox, Aimson, Kerr, McManaman, Weir, Smith, Robinson, Asamoah, Hungbo, Mullino

Last five results

  • Exeter 1-1 Wigan
  • Wigan 1-1 Hemel Hempstead
  • Mansfield 1-1 Wigan
  • Wigan 1-0 Port Vale
  • Wigan 0-1 Wycombe

Player to watch: Kyle Wooton

Given that this is a must-win fixture for Stockport, a stronger-than-usual side for the EFL Trophy is expected, which should mean a start for Kyle Wooton at the top of the pitch. The 29-year-old has scored seven goals in all competitions so far this season and will be eying double figures before Christmas.
