Stake.com Overview

Stake is a popular online casino and sportsbook with a global presence. Headquartered in Curacao, Canadians outside of Ontario can sign-up and play legally with the operator via the offshore grey market. As of July 2025 Stake doesn’t have an app in Canada, but in this Stake.com review, we’ll explain why that isn’t much of an issue and go over everything else you need to know about the operator, including betting offers, customer service, and payment options.

Stake Sports Betting Review

While the casino is the main point of focus for the Stake.com review (or at least what the operator promotes the most), it still has a decent sportsbook with a diverse range of betting markets spanning the top professional leagues and niche sports. However, new users in Canada will be quick to note in the Stake sports betting review that it does not cater to the interests of the average Canadian bettor particularly well. There are few, if any, boosted odds or targeted promotions involving popular Canadian leagues, teams, or athletes.

We can discuss the Stake sports betting review any further without first mentioning hockey. Stake has decent coverage of the NHL, with plenty of futures betting options and industry-average lines for individual games, but the same-game multi options are limited compared to other operators, like Bet365 and Betway. It also doesn’t have betting for the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) or PWHL.

With that said, Stake has more than 30 available sports markets, including international favorites like soccer, cricket, and darts. Its soccer market coverage is about as expansive as any other operator, with betting options covering more than 50 countries. You can even wager on domestic leagues in Jordan, Malaysia, and Tanzania.

We’d also be remiss in our Stake.com review if we didn’t mention the operator is the official betting partner of the UFC. Players can live stream select UFC events and see detailed head-to-head stats for each fight before making their wagers. Stake.com Canada also has MMA betting for the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

Stake Sports Odds and Limits

There is no maximum bet amount for the Stake.com review, but there is a minimum of $1 for all sports betting wagers. This is slightly higher than average, with several operators having no minimum bet amount or $0.50. And, while there’s no maximum, some people on community forums like Reddit and Trustpilot have reported having their betting limits restricted due to sustained success.

Odds are comparable with most other sportsbooks, with the exception of Pinnacle, which sets itself apart from competitors with industry-leading low margins. As an example, Stake.com Canada review had the Toronto Blue Jays at 2.55 odds (+155 American) to beat the Boston Red Sox on April 8. Competitor odds for the Blue Jays included +160 (Bet365), +155 (Sports Interaction), +160 (1xBet), and +176 (TonyBet). The TonyBet line was the result of an odds boost, but that’s important to note for the Stake.com review as it typically doesn’t offer enhanced or boosted odds – it does, however, have several sports betting offers, which we’ll cover below.

Live Betting on Stake

Live betting is another key feature of the Stake sports betting review. Players can see a list of all live events on the desktop and mobile homepage. Scroll the menu under “Live” to see the full list of active events. You cannot do same-game multi bets for live sports, but there are still a variety of markets depending on the sport. For basketball, for instance, you can wager on the ML, total (and alternate totals), winning margin, which team is going to get the next points, etc.

Stake also has live streaming for select events, including overseas basketball and soccer games, esports, and darts. For games which it does not offer live streaming, players can still see graphics depicting the action in the match as well as a detailed statistical analysis of both teams. This significantly enhances the betting experience and overall enjoyment of players.

Stake does offer a cash out option for some bets, but not for same-game multis and player props.

Stake Casino Review

As discussed early in the Stake.com review, the operator prides itself on and heavily promotes its online casino – if you follow Drake on social media, you’ll know what we’re talking about. There’s a good reason it prioritizes this, however, as our Stake casino review shows. One of the first things you’ll see on the homepage is a pair of graphics to either play the casino or sportsbook. After clicking the casino button, you’ll see a colorful display of thousands of games from multiple providers.

stake casino review - games

Stake has nearly 3,000 slot games, well above the industry average. Among these are hundreds of exclusive games as well as popular titles like Gates of Olympus 1000, Duel at Dawn, and Sugar Rush 1000. There are also several original games in the Stake casino review, including Dice, Mines, Plinko, and Crash. What’s cool about all of these is you can see how many players are playing at any given time. Moreover, in the interest of transparency, the Stake casino review also updates in real time all major wins – and losses – on the casino landing page.

Stake Canada review also has an extensive live casino with nearly 100 unique titles spanning table games like blackjack, Baccarat, and roulette. It also has game shows like Mega Wheel Live, Sweet Bonanza Candyland, Treasure Island Live, and Snakes & Ladders Live.

Access the Stake casino with the Stake code and get an abundance of ongoing promotions and rewards for frequent casino players.

Stake.com Sports Betting Offer: 200% Deposit Match up to $3,000

The Stake bonus in 2025 for new users is a 200 percent deposit match with minimum and maximum deposits of $50 and $1,500, respectively. This means the maximum bonus you can earn is $3,000. The maximum wager with these funds, however, is 1 percent of the deposit and all bonus funds are subject to 40x wager requirements before being withdrawn.

For its bonus, you might be wondering is Stake.com legit? Overall, it’s a decent bonus with higher-than-average rewards, but the wager restrictions hold it back from being one of the best available. Say you’ve received $1,000 in bonus funds through your first deposit. You would have to stake (pun intended) this 40 times ($40,000) before withdrawing any potential winnings.

  • Maximum bonus: $3,000
  • Bonus type: First deposit match
  • Stake bonus code: FWMAX
  • Minimum deposit: $50

Daily Races and Weekly Raffle

The current notable promotions as of April include Stake’s Daily Races and Weekly Raffle, through which players can earn a share of big prizes with wagers via the sportsbook or casino.

For the Daily Races, Stake gives away $100,000 every 24 hours, split among 5,000 players. Simply start making wagers and see where you rank on the Daily Race Leaderboard, found under “Races” in the “Statistics” tab of your player profile. For the $75,000 Weekly Raffle, you earn one ticket for every $1,000 wagered in a given week. The prize pool is split between 15 players following a live streamed draw at Kick.com/Eddie.

NBA Double Winnings and 3rd Quarter Payout

As mentioned earlier in the Stake sports betting review, the operator doesn’t offer much in the way of boosted or enhanced odds for games. However, it has several early payout and double winnings promotions, giving players a chance to earn cash before the match settlement. Its NBA Double Winnings and 3rd Quarter Payout bonuses are prime examples of this.

With NBA Double Winnings, players can earn double their projected payout, up to $100, on select games as long as the corresponding player on their winning team hits his or her performance target. For example, Stake offered this promotion on the April 4 game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, with Steph Curry and Luka Doncic to hit 40+ points. If you correctly selected the winning team and that team’s player hit the Stake player prop, you could win an additional $100 on top of your original bet.

With the 3rd Quarter Payout, players can win up to $100 even if the team they back loses. Their team must be winning by at least nine points entering the fourth quarter, however.

NHL 2+ Lead Payout

Similar to the NBA 3rd Quarter Payout offer, Stake offers a 2+ Goal Lead Payout for NHL betting. Maximum winnings are also capped at $100. This is a good safety net for those frustrating bad beats, which can be fairly common in the NHL. As an example, say you’ve wagered $50 on the Toronto Maple Leafs to beat the Montreal Canadians with a potential payout of $85. You would still receive the payout if the Maple Leafs led 4-2 after the second period but lost 5-4 in overtime.

Premier League 3 Goal Payout

Stake is a main partner of the English football club Everton and, thus, has plenty of Premier League betting markets and promotions. In addition to early payout and double winnings offers, it has a 3 Goal Payout offer that also rewards players up to $100 in winnings if the team they back loses but scores three goals.

Pragmatic Drops & Wins Slots

There’s also plenty of bonuses to cover for the Stake casino review, including Pragmatic Drops & Wins Slots. Pragmatic Play is one of the 15+ software providers for the Stake casino and has titles like Sweet Bonanza 1000, Sugar Rush 1000, Wild Wild Joker, and Book of Monsters. There are more than 60 Pragmatic slots.

Each month, Pragmatic shares $2 million in random drops across its network of games, including to players playing with other online casinos. Stake players have to opt-in to the promotion.

Some of the other Stake casino promotions include Originals Ascent, The Level Up, Reel Rumble, and Conquer the Casino!

Stake.com Review of Its Website

There’s minimal difference between the Stake website and Stake mobile site, which is convenient as there is no Stake app review. For desktop, the homepage is very clean and easy to navigate, with a side menu that has links to your profile, promotions, VIP Club, and live support. You can even minimize this menu to make.

Near the top of the homepage there are large graphics offering easy access to either the Stake sportsbook or online casino. And below those are trending casino games and sports, Races & Raffles, and a list of all recent bet winnings and losses made by other players.

Stake.com Review on Mobile

There is no Stake app review, but the mobile site is optimized to function appropriately, mirroring the desktop site on a smaller screen. If you didn’t know better, you might at times think you were using an official app.

The main difference between the Stake desktop and mobile site is the menu on the bottom of the screen with direct links for search, casino, sports, bets, and chat. When placing bets with the bookmaker, it’s easy to find what you’re looking for, whether it’s live events or pre-match betting – all are listed in sideways scrolling menus on the sportsbook home page. You can also sort by “My Bets,” “Favorites,” and “Starting Soon.”

Stake History

Is Stake.com legit? The answer is a resounding yes. The bookmaker and online casino, owned by Medium Rare NV, has been in business since 2017 and has offices in Australia and Serbia, among other countries. It was a prominent operator in the United Kingdom until March 2025, when it surrendered its UK gambling license due to an explicit online advertisement involving OnlyFans creator Bonnie Blue.

Despite this, Stake still partners with various influencers, streamers, and celebrities. Drake is one of its biggest celebrity endorsers, while it has also in the past partnered with UFC fighters Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya. Moreover, Stake is the exclusive title partner for a Formula-1 team and official betting partner of the UFC.

Stake was co-founded by Australian billionaire Ed Craven and Bijan Tehran. Today, it is available in dozens of countries, including the United States (Stake.US), Brazil, Denmark, Japan, and Mexico.

Withdrawals for Interac e-Transfer take between 1-2 business days, with a minimum withdrawal amount of $10.

Stake.com Review of Customer Service

Customer service is a standout in our Stake.com review in large part due to the many ways in which you can resolve issues. By clicking the “Live Support,” you can search for answers to frequently asked questions, access a range of helpful articles sorted under topics like payments, getting started, and casino, or directly message a Stake customer support personnel.

Live chat is fairly responsive and you can see the faces of the actual humans ready to assist you at the top of the menu. Stake also has a community forum where players can interact with others to find solutions to their problems.

Overall Opinion of Stake.com

Overall, Stake is a great operator for players who spend more time on casino games than the sportsbook. It’s also the best option available for Canadians with crypto wallets. There are crypto bonuses and several other ongoing promotions, although it doesn’t focus as much on Canadian betting interests and markets as many other operators, like Sports Interaction, Coolbet, and Bet365.

I love the seamless navigation and user-friendly interface on both the desktop and mobile sites. There were also several other things I liked in the Stake.com review, including same-game multis and live streaming, but there are certainly better operators out there for sports betting.
