Silkeborg vs AaB: FW Predictions

Silkeborg are in with a chance of going top of the Superliga table on Monday night, providing results elsewhere over the weekend go in their favour. AaB provide the opposition on Monday and the visitors are still searching for their first win of the campaign after only managing to pick up 1pt from their first three matches.

Silkeborg to Win

Silkeborg secured the domestic double over AaB last season and have won four of the pair's last five encounters in all competitions. The hosts remain unbeaten this season after they picked up two wins and a draw from their opening three matches, while AaB have lost two and drawn one so far, so you can see why we're expecting a home win on Monday.

Over 2.5 Goals

At least three goals have been scored in four of the last five competitive and non-competitive meetings between the two clubs with Silkeborg running out 4-2 winners back in May. Two of the host's opening three games of the season have produced over 2.5 goals and the same can be said for five of AaB's last six outings in all competitions, adding further weight to our prediction.

Silkeborg looking to continue fine start to the season

Silkeborg got off to a strong start at home to Brondby last time out, taking the lead through Helenius after just 7-minutes after good work from Vallys who claimed the assist. That goal separated the two sides at the interval and Silkeborg always looked like they would need another goal to make sure of the points. Seven minutes from the end, Salquist got on the end of a Klynge pass to make it 2-0 and end any hopes of a Brondby comeback.

Silkeborg Predicted Lineup: Larsen, Salquist, Felix, Engel, Carstensen, Brink, Þórðarson, Vallys, Jørgensen, Klynge & Helenius

AaB might not have expected this game to be tough when they first saw the fixtures for the new season but newly-promoted Horsens have gotten off to a flyer. The first half between the two clubs proved tight and tense, ending goalless, and that flowed over into the second forty-five and the teams cancelled one another out. A point wasn't a bad result for either team really as Horsens remain unbeaten and AaB ended their losing start to the campaign.

AaB Predicted Lineup: Posavec, Ahlmann, Pallesen, Ross, Kramer, Fossum, Højholt, Andersen, Sousa, Prip & Ementa

Team News

Silkeborg: Oscar Fuglsang, Robert Gojani, Niclas Holm Pedersen, Gustav Dahl, André Calisir and Alexander Lind are all doubts.

AaB: Andreas Poulsen is the main injury concern for the visitors.
