Burnley preview: Yet another clean sheet

Burnley made the relatively short trip to Preston last weekend where yet again, the promotion-chasers kept another clean sheet.

However, Burnley couldn't find a way past Freddy Woodman in the PNE goal, so he had to settle for a share of the spoils as Scott Parker's men recorded an eighth clean on the run in league and cup.

Luca Koleosho is an injury concern for the hosts ahead of Friday's match with the Owls.

Predicted lineup: Trafford (GK), Roberts, Egan-Riley, Esteve, Humphreys, Laurent, Cullen, Flemming, Mejbri, Foster & Anthony

Sheff Wed preview: Beaten in their own backyard

The Owls had the home advantage against Coventry City last time out but failed to make it count.

The Sky Blues took the lead in the 16th minute and held that advantage into the halftime interval. An own goal from Joel Latibeaudiere got Sheffield Wednesday back onto level terms just after the hour mark, but Coventry struck a killer blow in stoppage time as Ellis Simms scored his second goal of the game to wrap up a 2-1 away win.

Defenders Dominic Iorfa and Akin Famewo look set to miss out on Friday night through injury.

Predicted lineup: Beadle (GK), Ihiekwe, Lowe, Valery, Bannan, Johnson, Armstrong, Ingelsson, Charles, Ugbo & Gassama

Player to watch: Josh Brownhill

Many expected Josh Brownhill to leave Burnley when they got relegated from the Premier League last season but the midfielder stayed with the club and is playing a massive part in their bid for promotion from the Championship.

The 29-year-old from Warrington top scores for Burnley this season with nine Championship goals and also has four assists for the club, more than any of his teammates.

Leads the way on goals and assists

we're backing Burnley's experienced attacking midfielder to put in another quality performance on Friday night in what we have predicted to be a narrow win for the hosts.
