Seattle Sounders vs PSG predictions: A high-scoring affair
Key stats
- At least three goals were scored in seven of PSG’s last eight matches, and in each of Seattle's last four games.
- Seattle Sounders are currently on a four-match losing streak.
- Four of Seattle's last five matches featured fewer than five cards.
Correct score prediction: Seattle Sounders 0-3 PSG
Barring their disappointing loss to Botafogo last week, Paris Saint-Germain have been almost unstoppable. Prior to that defeat, they had won five consecutive matches, averaging over three goals per game and keeping three consecutive clean sheets.
In contrast, Seattle Sounders have lost four consecutive games, conceding almost three goals per game on average.
Given the difference in quality between these squads, anything other than a comfortable victory for PSG would be a surprise.

Seattle Sounders preview: Hoping to salvage their Club World Cup campaign
On paper, Seattle Sounders could still qualify for the Round of 16. However, they would need not only to beat Paris Saint-Germain by at least a three-goal margin but also to require Group B leaders Botafogo to beat Atletico Madrid.
Right-back Kalani Kossa-Rienzi will not be available for this game due to injury, alongside long-term absentees Paul Arriola and Stuart Hawkins.
Predicted lineup: Frei (GK), Minoungou, Ragen, Bell, Baker-Whiting, Roldan, Vargas, De la Vega, Rusnak, Rothrock & Musovski.

PSG preview: Looking to get back to winning ways
An unexpected 0-1 defeat by Botafogo sent shockwaves around the football world, giving Paris Saint-Germain their first eye-opener in the competition. The Parisians will secure a Round of 16 spot by defeating Seattle on Monday.
Interestingly, PSG could still advance with a draw or a narrow defeat, depending on the outcome of the other Group B fixture between Atletico Madrid and Botafogo.
Luis Enrique’s side will be boosted by the return of star forward Ousmane Dembele, who returned to team training on Friday. The French international has been with the group all season, with no major injuries for the first time in his career.
Predicted lineup: Donnarumma (GK), Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes, Neves, Ruiz, Vitinha, Kvaratskhelia, Dembele & Doue.

Player to watch: Albert Rusnak
Albert Rusnak's goal gave Seattle Sounders a fighting chance against Atletico Madrid last week, but the MLS side were unable to claw their way back into the game and ended up losing 3-1.
The Slovakian forward has put in some solid performances in recent months, scoring six times in his last 10 appearances. It will be interesting to see how Rusnak performs against the European champions.
