The mood in the Scotland camp will be a lot happier following their comfortable 2-0 win over North Macedonia last time out, and they will now believe they can go on to secure promotion to League A.
New manager Sebastien Pocognoli will be relieved to have got his first win, and now he will be hoping for a better performance at Hampden after the 3-0 defeat here to Switzerland last week.
It's important to note that Scotland are still missing key personnel in Scott McTominay and Lawrence Shankland, but some of the new guard, including Kieron Bowier, are starting to come into their own.
If Scotland can make it two wins in two on Tuesday night, they will have not only given themselves a great chance at securing a League A promotion playoff match, but also helped their chance of qualifying for Euro 2028.
The situation is near-identical for Slovenia, which is why this game is a tricky one to call.
Like the Scots, they have won just one of their last five matches – a 2-0 win over North Macedonia – and have generally struggled during this extended international break.
Another similarity between the two squads is that Slovenia are also missing players, most notably Benjamin Sesko, who is by far and away the nation's most recognisable and dangerous player.
Slovenia are battling against not only form and injuries on Tuesday but also history, as they have never previously defeated Scotland.
