Scotland and Morocco will go head-to-head on Friday night as the second week of the 2026 World Cup gets underway.
After the first round of Group C fixtures, Scotland sit on top of the pile as the only nation to register a victory. However, at least one more point is likely to be needed if they are to become the first Scottish side in history to progress to the knockout stages of an international tournament.

Although their 1-0 victory over Haiti on matchday one wasn't as commanding as some fans would have hoped, Scotland are still where they need to be ahead of clashes with Morocco and Brazil.
However, following a plethora of draws across the other groups in North America, three points with a negative goal difference is now highly unlikely to be enough to qualify as one of the eight best third-place teams, so Steve Clarke's men still have work to do to achieve their goals.
On paper, you would have to say that they are more likely to get a result against Morocco than they are against Brazil, but they will not be taking the North American side likely, not least because this is a side that made it all the way to the semi-finals three and a half years ago in Qatar.
Scott McKenna missed the match against Haiti with a calf injury, and the Dinamo Zagreb defender was absent from training on Wednesday, suggesting he could also sit this one out.
Elsewhere, Clarke has no fresh concerns, which means he could start with the same XI that overcame Haiti.
As for Morocco, their performance against Brazil has left many fans believing that another deep run at a World Cup is very much on the cards.
The Atlas Lions were the better team for large parts of their match against Selecao, registering more shots and creating more xG than their opponents. There were stars all over the pitch in red and green, but special praise goes to Ayyoub Bouaddi, who bossed the middle of the park.
Despite their positive showing, there will be some nerves in the Moroccan camp as a loss to Scotland on Friday night would leave them in an extremely precarious position ahead of their final group match against Haiti.
Manager Mohamed Ouahbi has a clean bill of health ahead of Friday night, so an unchanged XI is expected.
