Rhynern vs Dortmund Lineups, Match Information, and Team News
Rhynern
The amateur side from the region of Bavaria will look to get some perspective against one of the best teams in the country. This is a club from the fifth tier of the German football system. There are 27 players in the squad and Rhynern is playing their games at Kumpel-Hellmeister Arena. It has been quite a dynamic summer in the transfer market for the club as multiple players arrived on a free transfer. Elmar Skrijelj, Julius Woitaschek, Patrice Heisinger, and Tobias Heering are some of the most important additions to the team. There were some departures as well with Finn Schubert, Merlin Zweimann, Pascal Muller, and Davin Wostmann leaving the club after their contracts expired.
Possible lineup: Hahnemann, Coskun, Joswig, Kleine, Wiese, Michler, Stohr, Woitaschek, Yilmaz, Pietryga, Kleine.
Dortmund
The biggest news from Dortmund is the departure of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid in one of the biggest transfers of the summer. There were two meaningful departures with Raphael Guerreiro and Mahmoud Dahoud leaving the club on free transfers. Guerreiro joined Bayern Munich after the Bavarian club took home another title on the last day of the last season from Borussia. The only significant signing for Dortmund thus far is Felix Nmecha who joined from Wolfsburg. Remy Bensebaini signed on after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach expired. Ole Pohlmann, Karim Adeyemi, and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens are expected to miss the game through injury.
Possible lineup: Lotka, Schlotterbeck, Coulibaly, Bensebaini, Ryerson, Kamara, Ozcan, Nmecha, Gurpuz, Duranville, Malen.
Player to Watch: Julien Duranville
It seems there is no shortage of terrific young talent coming from Belgium as Julien Duranville is another product of their impressive football academy. He is only 17 years old and has joined Dortmund from Anderlecht in January. Duranville was raised at one of the biggest Belgium clubs but was sold to Borussia without a significant influence on their results.
Dortmund has done a fine job with their scouting over the years finding players that many clubs around Europe didn't notice. Duranville won't be playing a big role this season, but he is expected to get a chance during the preparation period this summer.
Starting lineups
Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.
