The last couple of weeks have been a mix of emotions for Real Madrid. On one hand, dumping Manchester City out of the Champions League and the full recovery of Kylian Mbappe from injury has undoubtedly boosted the team's confidence.

However, a very taxing schedule and several squad injuries have left coach Alvaro Arbeloa dealing with tactical puzzles in multiple areas of the pitch ahead of the Madrid derby.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Atletico Madrid have kept the most clean sheets in La Liga this season.

Up to six players are definitely ruled out of this clash for Los Blancos, including first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who sustained a thigh problem at the Etihad on Tuesday. Jude Bellingham has made giant strides in getting back to full fitness, but the Englishman is still out of this game despite training with the group in recent days.

Rodrygo Goes (ACL) is out for the remainder of the season, while the trio of Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, and Dani Ceballos cannot return until next month due to injury.

Andriy Lunin will definitely start in goal for the hosts. Antonio Rudiger and Dean Huijsen will partner in central defence, while Mbappe and Vinicius Junior feature in attack.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Real Madrid have conceded the fewest goals in La Liga this season.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, will also miss the action due to muscular problems.

A sprained ankle for Rodrigo Mendoza and a thigh injury for Pablo Barrios mean both midfielders are unavailable for selection here, while defenders Marc Pubill and Matteo Ruggeri are reported doubtful.

The absence of Oblak means Juan Musso will continue in goal for Atleti, with Ademola Lookman and Giuliano Simeone expected in the wide areas, while Alexander Sorloth, who often scores against Real Madrid, lines up alongside Julian Alvarez up front.

Whispers Predicts: Real Madrid 3-2 Atletico Madrid

At 2.00, Real Madrid are considered favourites by the bookies. Los Blancos have been impressive at home this season, winning 13 of their 15 La Liga games at the Bernabeu.

Bearing in mind that Atletico Madrid have managed only four wins in 13 away games, coupled with their struggles at this stadium in the last decade, we are confident that Los Blancos will claim all the spoils here.

Although these are two of the top three teams in the Spanish top flight when it comes to corners, four of the last five H2Hs produced fewer than 11 corners. On that note, under 10.5 total corners is priced at 2.10.

Furthermore, considering that both teams were on the scoresheet in 12 of the last 13 Madrid derbies, we fancy Real Madrid & BTTS - Yes at 3.33.

📈 Whispers' Tips

> BTTS - Yes at 1.56 | Likelihood: Probable

> Over 3.5 goals at 2.35 | Likelihood: Probable

> Match result - Real Madrid at 2.00 | Likelihood: Probable

> Real Madrid & BTTS - Yes at 3.33 | Likelihood: Possible

> Correct score: 3-2 at 21.00 | Likelihood: Outsider
