After parting ways with Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid are in for a big summer in terms of player and manager recruitment. While their next managerial appointment is taking up the most media attention, which players could they target?
Last summer, the club once again exploited the free transfer market to pick up Trent Alexander-Arnold. The former Liverpool man has had a disappointing debut campaign in Madrid and will be keen to kick on next season to avoid finding himself on the chopping block.
Will Los Blancos search for more free transfers in the summer or are they ready to splash the cash?

Rodri (Manchester City)
According to The Sun, Real are ready to make a bid worth £100m to try and tempt Rodri away from Manchester City. City are thought to be uncertain over Rodri's physical condition, after another injury hit campaign, so if the Spanish giants do offer up this type of cash, this move could happen.
Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool)
Real Madrid publicly ruled out a move for Ibrahima Konate earlier this season, but he has still not signed a new deal at Anfield. Although the Frenchman has had a poor season, Real Madrid could still be tempted as he won't cost them anything.
Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
According to CaughtOffside, Real, as well as both Liverpool and Manchester City, are growing an interest to sign Crystal Palace and England international central midfield player Adam Wharton before the summer transfer window closes. However, the Premier League side are holding out for a staggering valuation of £150m.
Gilberto Mora (Club Tijuana)
According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Real are thought to be considering a potential move to sign 16-year-old phenom Gilberto Mora from Liga Mex side Gilberto Mora before the summer transfer window closes.
