RB Leipzig Win - Tip 1

RB Leipzig have three of their last four meetings

Third-placed RB Leipzig will welcome Hamburg, who sit ninth in the standings, to the Red Bull Arena for their week seven Bundesliga encounter on Saturday, 18 October 2025.

RB Leipzig's disappointing start to the season, when they suffered a 6-0 humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich on the opening day of the season, seems to be a distant memory with the recent form of Ole Werner's team, while Hamburg are unbeaten in three league fixtures.

Read on to find out more about our RB Leipzig vs Hamburg Bundesliga betting tips below.

RB Leipzig vs Hamburg predictions: The home side have the edge in this fixture

Key stats

  • RB Leipzig are unbeaten in their last five Bundesliga fixtures.
  • Four of Hamburg's last five fixtures across all competitions produced at least three goals.
  • Their last two head-to-head meetings returned at least three total goals.
  • The hosts have won three of their last four meetings.

Correct score prediction: RB Leipzig 3-1 Hamburg

Since the opening day, 6-0 demolition against Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig have enjoyed a resurgence which has catapulted them near the top of the standings.

Following that defeat, they responded with four consecutive victories against Heidenheim (2-0), Mainz (1-0), Koln (3-1) and Wolfsburg (1-0) before a draw in their final league fixture before the latest international break.

However, Hamburg have not been too far behind, as they remain unbeaten in their last three fixtures, recording two victories and a draw. Having said that, the home side have the needed quality to dispatch the visiting side. Therefore, we are backing the hosts to claim a 3-1 win.

Pre-game odds and win probability: RB Leipzig are odds-on favourites

  • HOME: 2/5 (1.40) – 71.4%
  • DRAW: 19/5 (4.80) – 20.8%
  • AWAY: 19/4 (5.75) – 17.4%

*Odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

As earlier stated, the only dent on the home team's record so far is that 6-0 defeat to Bayern Munich. Other than that, they have been near impeccable this term. And as the Bundesliga resumes after the international break, fans of the hosts will expect their team to pick up from where they left off before the international break.

Rightfully so, the bookies are backing Werner's men to claim all the spoils, as they are the overwhelming favourites with odds of 2/5 (1.40), which means a probability of 71.4%.

Despite their impressive form coming into this clash, they have found little or no favour in the eyes of bookies, with odds of 19/4 (5.75), which translates to a 17.4% chance of emerging victorious on the day.

Most recent H2Hs: Business as usual for RB Leipzig?

RB Leipzig have demonstrated superiority in their last few meetings against Saturday's opponents, with three victories and a draw in their last four head-to-head encounters.

Hamburg's last Bundesliga win over the hosts was in February 2017, and even now, given the form of the home side, they will have to outdo themselves to record another victory this weekend. That said, it is safe to say that RB Leipzig will carry the day.
