Rayo Vallecano will look to extend their winning streak at home when they host Real Sociedad at Estadio de Vallecas on Sunday.

The hosts have been in sensational form at this stadium, winning three consecutive home games without conceding a single goal.

Real Sociedad, on the other hand, will hope to avoid a third consecutive league defeat on the road.

Rayo Vallecano snapped their losing run with a 1-0 victory over Espanyol on Thursday, extending their winning run to three games.

Although the hosts are 11th in La Liga, they are only six points behind sixth-placed Getafe, and with six matches remaining, Inigo Perez's troops have a realistic chance of securing a European spot.

It is worth mentioning that Rayo Vallecano have a crucial UEFA Conference League semi-final clash with Strasbourg next week, so they will be wary of injuries.

Rayo will have Nobel Mendy and Florian Lejeune available for this game after both players served suspensions against Espanyol, but goalkeeper Augusto Batalla, who received a milestone booking in that game, will sit this one out.

In the infirmary for the hosts, Luiz Felipe continues his recovery from a thigh injury, while Alvaro Garcia, Randy Nteka, and Jozhua Vertrouwd all need a final assessment to confirm their availability for Sunday.

On the other hand, Real Sociedad's Copa del Rey triumph over Atletico Madrid last weekend was followed by a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Getafe on Wednesday.

The Basque side have now lost back-to-back away games in the league and have managed only one win in their last four La Liga outings.

It is worth mentioning, however, that Real Sociedad are guaranteed a place in the UEFA Europa League next season, due to their cup triumph.

On the injury front for Real Sociedad, only Igor Zubeldia is ruled out of this clash, with the Spaniard still nursing a hamstring problem.

Aritz Elustondo and Goncalo Guedes have fitness problems, with both players needing a late fitness test ahead of this game.

Whispers Predicts: Rayo Vallecano 2-2 Real Sociedad

At 2.72, Real Sociedad are considered favourites by the bookies.

However, Pellegrino Matarazzo's troops have not been particularly impressive on the road, having lost three of their last four away league games.

Keeping in mind that the spoils were shared in five of the last six H2Hs at this stadium, we fancy a draw at 3.38.

Furthermore, draw & BTTS - Yes landed in five of Sociedad's last seven trips to Estadio de Vallecas, and this can be backed at 4.20.

📈 Whispers' Tips
