Rangers to win to nil

Rangers have won their last two matches at Ibrox to nil

Rangers will take on St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday, 30 December, as part of the final round of fixtures in 2025.

The hosts will have renewed belief that a second-half of-the-season title charge is on following Hearts' defeat to Hibs on Saturday, but they will need to find more consistency if they are to hunt them down.

As part of this week's round of Scottish Premiership betting tips, check out our Rangers vs St Mirren prediction below.

Most recent H2Hs: Advantage St Mirren

St Mirren should take plenty of encouragement from their recent record against Rangers, with the Buddies currently boasting an unbeaten record against Gers across their last four meetings (two wins, two draws). As part of that run, St Mirren won 2-0 at Ibrox last season.

Rangers preview: Far from a full-strength squad

Rangers are set to be without six first-team players for this one as Danny Rohl continues to wrestle with a depleted squad. On Tuesday, Rohl will have to field a team without Bailey Rice, Derek Cornelius, Rabbi Matondo, Oliver Antman, Nedim Bajrami and Nasser Djiga.

Predicted lineup: Butland (GK), Tavernier, Sterling, Fernandez, Meghoma, Raskin, Barron, Aasgaard, Diomande, Gassama, Chermiti

Last five results

  • Rangers 1-0 Motherwell
  • Hearts 2-1 Rangers
  • Rangers 1-0 Hibernian
  • Ferencvaros 2-1 Rangers
  • Kilmarnock 0-3 Rangers

St Mirren preview: A much fresher squad

St Mirren are in a far stronger position than Rangers when it comes to player availability, which should also aid their cause on Tuesday. Keanu Baccus is their only absentee, with the Australian midfielder still out with a hamstring injury.

Predicted lineup: George (GK), Fraser, King, Freckleton, McMenamin, Phillips, Gogic, Idowu, John, N'Lundulu, Ayunga

Last five results

  • St Mirren 0-0 Kilmarnock
  • St Mirren 1-0 Livingston
  • St Mirren 3-1 Celtic
  • St Mirren 2-0 Dundee Utd
  • Aberdeen 3-3 St Mirren

Player to watch: Thelo Aasgaard

Thelo Aasgaard has found life at Rangers quite difficult so far but there are signs that the Norwegian could be getting more accustomed to the demands of the club. Aasgaard scored the winner last time out against Motherwell and Rangers fans will now be hoping that he can now go on a run as we enter the new year.
