Despite a lengthy injury list, PSG are going about their business in exceptional fashion so far this season and are already on course to win the Ligue 1 title once again.

As ever under Luis Enrique, the priority is Champions League success, and so far, so good in that regard, too, as they have won all four of their league phase matches, scoring 20 goals in the process.

Meanwhile, in Ligue 1, PSG have scored 21 goals in nine outings, which suggests they may be more likely to ease off the gas domestically.

In a match immediately after a European assignment, such as this one, Enrique often rotates heavily. Still, with the international break looming, he is under no obligation to rest any of his stars, which is bad news for Troyes.

At the same time, several selection decisions are out of his hands, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, and Nuno Mendes all still out.

As for Troyes, their first season back in Ligue 1 since 2023 has gone as expected thus far, with Les Troyens already flirting with the drop zone.

Coming into this match, Troyes are in 16th position in the league table, just one point and one place above Le Mans in 17th. They have won just two league games all season, both of which were against teams in the bottom half.

The biggest concern for Troyes, particularly ahead of a match against PSG, is their goals-for column, which currently stands at just seven from nine matches – the joint-lowest in the division.

Manager Stephane Dumont knows his team needs something special to win this one, and if they are to succeed, they will do so without the injured duo of Yacouba Kone and Anis Ouzenadji.
