Auxerre may have had a difficult start to the season, but their form in recent weeks is that of a team that shouldn't be facing a relegation battle come the end of the season.
Now managed by Will Still, who previously found fame in Ligue 1 with Reims, the club are looking upwards rather than over their shoulders following a 15th-placed finish last season.
The biggest positive for Still in recent weeks has been his side's form at home. They have picked up seven points from the last nine available at the Stade Abbe-Deschamps, a run that helped them to move on from picking up zero points from their three matches of the season.
For the match against Paris FC, Still will be without Bryan Okoh, Remy Labeau Lascary and Assane Diousse due to injuries, and Lamfia Dioubate due to suspension.
As for Paris FC, their best work this season has also been on home soil, which makes this a tricky fixture to navigate.
To say there is room for improvement when it comes to their away form would be an understatement, with Paris winning just one of their four matches on the road in Ligue 1 so far this season.
Liam Rosenior will be desperate for his side to improve on the road, and in a week where he has claimed his sacking from Chelsea was nothing to do with football, three points would do nicely.
