Portugal kick-off their Euro 2024 campaign on Tuesday night against the Czech Republic at the Leipzig Stadium, and we're bringing you our predictions for the game.

Portugal preview: Tipped to go far in Germany

Portugal ended their friendlies with a comfortable 3-0 win against the Republic of Ireland with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring two of the goals.

There are no major surprises in Roberto Martinez's squad with the former Belgium manager picking a good mix of youth and experience that many believe could even win Euro 2024.

Ronaldo is still scoring goals for fun at club level, even if it's not at a high level, and the 39-year-old is one of the players tipped to challenge for the Golden Boot in Germany.

Czech Republic preview: Should qualify from Group F

The Czech Republic claimed a 2-1 win against North Macedonia in their final warm-up game and their preparations for Euro 2024 have gone really well.

However, Ivan Hašek's side haven't really tested themselves against any top-class teams this year which could be their undoing when they take on Portugal on Tuesday night.

Vladimír Coufal, Tomáš Souček, Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek are the four biggest names in this Czech Republic squad which has a very workman-like feel to it but don't bet against Hašek's men claiming second spot ahead of Turkey and Georgia.

Player to watch – Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to guide Portugal to another European Championship success in what could be his final international tournament, though, you wouldn't bet against former Man Utd and Real Madrid star appearing in the World Cup aged 41.

Ronaldo scored 35 goals in 31 appearances in the Saudi Pro League last season and while that's not a top league by any means, it's still very impressive from the veteran forward.
